I have been a fan of BGT. In 2019 auditions I have found bgt not showing up well with judges approving even substandard performances. Very few auditions are surprisingly good. Let's hope in the weeks ahead the standard of BGT is seen.

There is no good or bad, its about how you use it.

@Front Pictures; Your performances are Fantastic, Awesome, Great, Imaginative, Creative, Captivating, Entertaining! Seems most people are entertained, they lack appreciation for the other aspects. Suggestion: though it is much more difficult [am myself a High Speed DSP electronics engineer, designer], if the virtual appears more realistic, then they will experience the virtual more as reality [as shown in some aspect in the second performance]. Then the judges, audience and viewers will not only be amazed by the performance, they will have a greater connection and experience. Thus virtual reality will not only be an artistic form, it can have all aspects of reality including emotions, feelings and other senses. [touch is more difficult obviously]. As entertainers know, when the performer and performance reaches the audience to arouse emotions and feelings, then the performance is more successful. This is probably why singers, musicians arouse so much when their performance is done with emotion, passion, feeling, and transmitted to the listener, then the listeners also experience emotions, passion, feelings by transmission and/or arousal. So, too, movies, videos that express drama with emotion, feelings, passion have the same effects and can be more powerful. So, if such a virtual reality performance will be able to transmit and/or arouse this in individuals, the audience and viewers, then these will be more appreciated and more successful too. We see this in video games, correct? The more 'real' the experience, the greater the enjoyment. Such the virtual reality in gaming is becoming better and better, more real, with greater experience. what do You think of these ideas? Your presentations and performances have elements of each. Actually the audition was slightly better initially bringing the viewer into the series of events, thus some of the elements of danger, excitement, thrill, challenge was experienced. The second one is better at seeing the details within the series and flow of events, but the experience was slightly more removed, less 'real' initially from the arrival at the Hotel. We instead, experience a WOW! animation, view without much interconnection or reality. Am very aware the extent to produce even a 2 min story with the level of reality is extremely extensive and is like producing a short high level movie, maybe with more real people characters, or perhaps Yourself performing and acting, then combining them together to have an apparent interaction between the characters. [One Japanese dancer did this some years back on AGT]. For Your type of presentation, it would be an short video reality story. Again, enjoyed Your presentations and performances.
