The best Korean gangster movie of all time Jung-Chung knew Ja-Sung is spy after he got hacked files from Chinese hackers, but he didn't kill him and gave Ja-Sung a choice, cop life or gangster life. Jung-Chung really embraced Ja-Sung as brother. Acting in this movie is just superb all around.
I can't believe you react to this movie! I usually like movies like Parasite and Train to Busan, but there are many other interesting Korean movies. So I'm so happy that you reacted to this movie. I hope your channel will grow even more. Movies like 'The Chaser'(추격자) or 'The Wailing'(곡성) and 'Vengeance is Mine'(복수는 나의 것)are also recommended. These are really intense movies. I'm sorry that the sentence may not be smooth due to the translator.
To help you further with the story, Jung didn't know his sidekick Ja-seong was a cop. That's untill his lawyer hacked into the database of police and passed Ja-seong's record. But, after having known him for so long as a loyal friend and brother, he didn't kill him, but stayed loyal to Ja-seong untill his death. By the way, the actor who played Ja-Seong, was the person, who played main character in Squid Game.
The cops pushed Lee Jasung into the gang, didn’t protect him and treated him like a real gangster. Jung Chung embraced and protected Lee Jasung like a real brother even when he found out Jasung was a cop. I think that’s one of the reasons that made Lee Jasung decide to be a gangster. In the throw-back scene at last, when Lee Jasung is covered in blood after a massacre that’s the only moment he smiles in the entire movie, which I think implies that he’s natural and happier as a gangster. Throughout the movie he is only holding an unlit cigarette in his mouth or hand. When he becomes the chairman of Gold Moon he finally enjoys a puff of smoke. It’s my favourite movie but not many people know about it. I am so glad you reacted to it. Thank you
Some background Information : There're Korean tribes in China, Yanbian area, so-called Korean-chinese, whose ancestors fleed out of Korea from Japanese occupation/troops during WW2 for independence movement. Nowadays, they speak Chinese and old-fashioned Korean like north Korea at the same time. But, for many years, most Koreans think they're totally Chinese and not Koreans at all and there's quite much hatred against them, and they know about it. LOL
Son los únicos que han reaccionado a esta gran película , increíbles actuaciones de superactores. Que increíble película y actuaciones , bien por ustedes chicos que la disfrutaron 🙏🫰👏👏👏🙌
Fun fact, they got the winter soldier elevator scene from this movie! Y’all got it right it in the end amazing!! Great review! also there was supposed to be a prequel to this film with another amazing actor that sadly never got made 😢
no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the past scene is just showing why Jung took him as a bro, they went through so much. u need to understand the brotherhood in korea... same like u hommies, same but not same but same boys
Boss didn’t know lee was a cop until he got the hacker’s information. The only reason he didn’t kill lee is because he treats him like his real own brother. They have a real strong brotherhood. And there’s this culture difference thing where he didn’t call lee as bro just out of a greeting thing in the west. In Asian countries, this means he is literally calling him ‘my brother ‘.
As the movie progresses, the color of Lee Ja-sung's suit darkens and darkens as he smokes cigarettes that he never smoked. Police Kang smokes, but there are hidden details that he doesn't smoke as he goes into the second half of the movie.
NO...... bro didn't know that Jung was a cop until he had the hacked information from police personnel profile....the last scene just shows the background of why they had close relationship from the beginning....Jung was always a cop from beginning
Nah, he didn't know his bro was a cop. He just couldn't kill his bro because he loved him. His bro Jung risked his life for him and been through war with him as you could see at the end. You could see Big Bro unhappy as he puts Jung's file in the safe and grilled the Lawyer for asking him why he let him live.
You know "The Departed" is a remake of trilogy "Internal Affairs" of Hong Kong. My one pick movie for life time. "New World" is heavily influenced by "Internal Affairs" as well and is one of my favorite Korean movies. I am glad you guys reacted to this movie. I recommend "The Handmaiden (2016)" and "Extreme Job (2019)"
..... Someone compared Divine Move to Fight Club... well I don't think so but what the movie experience does for you would be about equal... The Departed is not the same movie as new world at all in it's spirits.
@@dokkiro The Departed is literally almost a script for script remake of Infernal Affairs but translated to an English audience. They're basically the same movie in reality, but Infernal Affairs is slightly better to me
@@kinGsaL1515 It's not the same movie at all. Internal Affairs and Departed is dirty cop and a Undercover cop... In the New world movie there isn't two characters playing each parts. There is this famous song by GreenDays called American idiot supposedly plagiarized a Korean song. If you listen to both, you'll just think they're similar to each other. What gave it away was the lyrics. Greendays couldn't accidentally write the same exact lyrics along with the tunes. I am sorry but I think I saw plenty of New world and Departed also. What's so similar? Pregnant wife's miscarriage scene was similar to Matt Damon getting killed in his own apartment?
The Villainess is one of the best action movies, but is totally underrated and rarely brought up for Korean movie suggestions. I'd recommend giving the trailer a watch, the movie is even better.
🇰🇷 This is the best list of Korean dramas certified by Koreans. 1. Descendants of the Sun 2. Goblin 3. Mr. Sunshine 4. The Glory 5. Doctors 6. My Name 7. The Greatest Love 8. Sky Castle 9. Answer 1988 / Answer 1988 10. Reborn rich This list is the highest-rated drama in Korea, and it was famous not only in Korea but also in Asia. All the lines are poetic and jewel-like. Those who have seen other Korean dramas that are not on this list are the same as those who have seen B-class dramas. I highly recommend this.
@@troymin4226 I can't agree as a Korean. This is because the drama on the list here has a dense directing story. I don't know which drama is for teenagers.
The film was originally planned for a sequel, but unfortunately the director never made it. This is a non-public scene from "New World". take a look ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HXx90FW_dPo.html
