Harrison has an incredible voice and yes he did win the entire competition and has released several albums full of covers and some original songs. For the Semi-Finals the contestants had to sing two songs, a known song and an original song. Harrison performed Unchained Melody and an original song More Than A Dream, his original song was so amazing and beautiful it brought Ricky Martin to tears.

The University of Iowa have done some research on this topic and concluded that: Music is an activity which you use the right side of the brain, language uses the left side. So when you sing you no longer use the left side of the brain but the right so usually the stutter disappears. ( long explanation condensed!).
