The same effect is possible with a regular backed deck but still applying the one way principle, The method is to go through the deck first paying attention to the slight difference to the width of the white border at the top & bottom edge of each card & then stack them together in order (thick & thin) & your done, the chosen card will then be the one with the thick border amongst the thinner ones or visa versa,, 😊

Man, what a wonderful trick ! I can only agree with you about risk in magic, if your magic trick doesn't work all the time, but when it does, it's truly mind blowing, and that's real magic ! Plus, the trick is in the spectator's hand, and in your capacity to manipulate the audience, that's what make a trick so impressive ! You're not manipulating at all ! Daniel Madison got an idea on the question, he's doing some extreme sleights, to prove himself that he can do it, and that makes the moment more magical, even for the magician ! Here is the same, but without sleight, even worse, you're letting the deck to the spectator, what a terrifying thought XD But absolutely stunning trick !!!

l love this trick a lot cause it's just simple, it requires no skill and basically anyone can do it. Although it's such an easy trick, you still get sick reactions from others, l mean, no one will actually find out you got this one way deck set up as long as you mix them all over after you finished the trick and it can be completely examinable. Thanks for the idea btw!

This is absolutely a magician fooler CM! The deck can be examined, shuffled, cut a few times everything. I wonder if this would work with a marked deck? The deck could still be mixed, the spectator just has the option of you finding their card face up or face down. #Roadto23K!
