One of the funniest actually, though I prefer Juan more

As a child in the early 80s Juan had me in hysterics and still does now I am 51 So so funny, I loved the way he would laugh at himself in class. All of these actors played foreign characters in every comedy and drama shows throughout the 80s Ali was in "it ain't half hot mum" Juan was in Bergerac and auf wiedersehen pet and max and Gianni were in drama comedies like Minder and the sweeney They all had good careers to be fair.

I have to agree sadly. Mainly because the current audience is hyper sensitive, and cannot take a joke, so comedy shows have to dial down their jokes a lot, to the point it is no longer funny

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, in the series it is shown Ali is devout to his religion, when Giovanni offered him a glass of wine in S2E8, he refused saying it is against his religion. I do not recall him drinking. He must have done something good to be given such an honour. Maybe he drank but I do not think he does that

It is quite sad. Dino Shafeek passed away from a heart attack. Had he not passed, it is very likely we would see him again in Season 4, given Ali is a very popular fan favourite. Funny and pretty based. I would love to see how he and Ranjeet became more friendly in Season 4, even if they poke into each other with jokes occasionally since in Season 3 they start to be more friendly towards each other compared to other seasons. Farouk, the guy who replaces Ali in Season 4 is a poor copy of Ali. He's not as funny and not as based as Ali. His delivery of Ali's catchphrases like "oh blimey" and "Jelly good" were butchered.

Stuart Allen directed this show and London Weekend TV produced it. Some of the actors and actresses are still alive. I believe all actresses are alive. Sadly Juan, Ali, Taro, Zoltan, Ranjeet Mr Brown Ms Courtney Gladys Sid actors have all passed away, the rest of the main chast are still alive
