What a great teacher. A quick way to demonstrate the cognitive processes initiated by words only.

Very powerful. And apparently only interesting to people who are insightful. Kudos to the insightful speaker and audience.

WTF? "Mindful metacognition" just seems a fancy way of saying "word association". His whole talk seems like it could be summed up in one sentence: "word association exists." Hardly any kind of revelation.

Tacking mindful on is a little redundant, but the word association is just an example for demonstrating metacognition. Metacognition is about being aware of your own thinking and how you process information, so word association is a good choice to use in front of an audience.
