If you need to be that sure you don't want to die. Have you ever had depression? You kind of...stop living. Like you can't function. You can't find the will to do anything (even opening doors or brushing your teeth) it's not even like you don't have the will you just sort of can't make your body do it, your brain won't connect. You don't even use the internet because you don't do things. You just stand or lie or sit. That's it. People often say that you don't have to be depressed to be scuicidal, and I agree, because being scuicidal is general. But wanting to commit scuicide has the same effect as depression and that's much more than just being scuicidal. One more thing, the pain, you think it's worth it even if it doesn't work and you're just hurt because you're completely desperate to escape. Otherwise you're lying to us. Scuicide is desperate, scuicidal thoughts are wanting. So yeah, hooray.
***** While I've never had depression so I can't speak on it I'm assuming that you're still in high school atm? If so take it from me that life post high school is much, much better than it is currently, and that's from someone who had a fairly good time throughout high school. There's no point at the moment to die, you've barely experienced life at all, don't throw it all away now. ... ... and on a completely different note I freaking love this song.

If you're feeling suicidal then I'm guessing you have more pain in your life than you can cope with right now. But that pain on your shoulders can be reduced. I'm in a terrible terrible position finacially and mentally. This song keeps me grounded through it though. I don't need hope or false hope, I just need to keep my expectations low so as not to get disappointed or disgruntled in the face of more inevitable unlucky bullshit. This song helps me do that. ahgase852 I would partially disagree with that. I have many songs that I like, some being my favourite, that have an extremely positive and wholesome message, and being fantastic at the same time. ‘Set it off’ is a band with a variety, but some of their more positive songs have helped me through a lot of difficulties purely through its message, not to mention their talent. If I’m being entirely honest, I’ve never actually come upon a bad positive song before. Let alone coming across objectively bad songs at all, which I find rare. I might just be lucky.

Whenever my anxiety and depression act up mixed with me being super stressed out I listen to this. It reminds me that I literally hate myself to the point that I listen to songs like this to fuel the negativity, however, I somehow find it very comforting.
I find punk and metal music help my anxiety and depression because they give me a chance to vent anger and negativity. And frankly, it DOES get worse, but we get tougher.

i think the reason so many of us find this funny or uplifting is because it so honestly acknowledges the absurdity of life and all this fuckery that we’re surrounded by, in a world where we’re all too used to always looking at the bright side
For me it's comforting. Being lied to and told that things are getting better when there's nothing better in sight is upsetting. It just leaves me with this empty, lost, confused feeling. Would rather just be told my truth and celebrate it.

tbh whenever i feel like i’m at rock bottom i go back to this song and i’m like “damn they’re right it’s never gonna get better” and then i feel better and move on with my life because i’m not sitting and waiting for something that probably won’t happen unless you move the fuck on anyway.
