Your channel is gold. Officially. I subscribed after the first video I watched a few minutes ago and this confirms why. I like how you are not just self-aware but also able to put it into words clearly for other people.

I had a very bad experience during my first year, I don't know if this stuff happens in America, but it did here in India. Back in my first year, I had a few misunderstandings and miscommunication, therefore my professor held a grudge against me, but she was kinda weird and passive aggressive to people, more towards me. One day during the final submission of the subject Architectural Drawings and Graphics in my first semester, she called me out in front of the class. I had some pending work that needed to be reviewed, so my portfolio was a bit larger than that of other students, so it took a lot of time for her to check it. Her face was so frustrated that it seemed as if she was gonna pounce on me and claw me like a mountain lion, she called me out in front of the entire studio and started lashing out at me. There were some sheets that needed redoing, but most of the other content was good or upto the mark(which I learned later when another professor checked a few weeks later), but she lashed out at it and me angrily, started to make scribbles with her pen, overall she was red with anger. The whole experience which happened in front of the studio and my classmates was so humiliating, that the moment I reached home, I broke down crying. I felt so lost and helpless that I didn't know what to do, I even considered suicide, luckily my mom found me and I told her everything which made feel a notch better. It was near impossible to redo all the work just 3 weeks before the jury, considering there were other subjects to be done. I re-did as many sheets (barely 5 out of the 50) I could and submitted it to the other professor a day before my jury, and to my surprise he was happy with my work. At that moment again I felt lost, because I realised that all that happened was that, that the former professor lashed out at me for no reason or at least because she had a grudge on me, I still wonder today 4 years after that incident, whatever I did to deserve so much cruelty. I lost all my passion from architecture from that moment and today I'm well rid of it. In this time period I had practically lost all friends, I had insomnia, I was losing hair at the age 18 that I had to visit a hair specialist, I barely grew as person, at times it often seemed wise to slit my wrists. Tell me Drew how the hell does one get out of this shit and stay motivated?
