Minecraft’s Lore is changing FOREVER! 

According to a dev, the portal to the vanilla game is a portal for the future, and not a alternative universe

The Elder Piglin was from the Horde of the Spore, not Sprout. The Sprout doesn’t exist, I just got the name mixed up.

Here are some things to note: Minecraft Legends is a legend told by the villagers over time so some things aren't 100% accurate (the launch trailer shows that) so if we are going to connect legends to vanilla: - The three spirits maybe are just symbolistic characters, which explains why their names are characteristics; - The hero who unified the overworld may be a younger steve which explains why he's on a horse the whole time; - Legends' villages are the trail ruins structure from vanilla; - The game passes after the extinction of the ancient builders; - The illagers decided to fight because of how villagers' peaceful nature made them defenseless from the pinglins attack, depending from the hero's help; - Steve may have hidden the orb of dominance in a temple which we can link it to dungeons. This is just some theories and notes that I had that could link the three games and some things may be debunked in the future.

The Relic disc is worth pointing out as a connection between Minecraft and Minecraft Legends. It has the same musical motif as The Well of Fate, and the Legends composer: Crispin Hands, is partly credited with writing it (on youtube music). This leads me to believe that trail ruins are possibly wellhouses or villages from Legends, and it is simply the case that villager architecture has since changed. The problem with this is that trail ruins are buried, but ruined portals are not (usually). Presumably, ruined portals are part of the war's aftermath. My theory is that the piglins who were residents of warped forests got wiped out somehow, or stopped living in the forests. It appears various warped fungi can grow on piglin flesh and is potentially parasitic. Additionally, the Horde of the Spore appears to be extremely diseased which would drive them away from the forests. Furthermore, hoglins hate warped fungi, so a major food source would be harder to produce in that biome. For this reason, it makes sense for the Seer (the name of the elderly piglin) to be from the Horde of the Spore. Obviously, endermen started living in warped forests at some point. I think they started exploring the Nether shortly before the war. They probably realized piglins could be manipulated and had potential to make powerful armies, therefore using the Orb of Dominance on them. Endermen feel like an invasive species to the warped forest. Strangely, most living things that get "corrupted" by the Orb have their eyes turn purple. The Seer, Great Hog, Jungle Abomination, Wretched Wraith, Tempest Golem, Squall Golems, and Ancient Guardian all have purple eyes. The only person to have been manipulated by the Orb who's eyes didn't turn purple is the Arch Illager. This leads me to believe that the Arch Illager simply wasn't fully posessed. Finally, because Legends is apparently a story told over generations of villagers, probably having been changed many times (all good stories deserve embellishment) it is completely possible that the Fallen Kingdom saga is a canon interpretation of the legend.

My theory is that the Gods from the MC end poem are the same or somehow related to the hosts of MC Legends.

Here's my theory. I'm not sure where I heard this, but it makes sense. The portal crafted was a portal to the future, which does make sense. Minecraft Legend takes place in the past, and it is clear as day when looking at the Nether, which looks so alive with all the piglin types. It looks lived in. Minecraft Dungeons comes after, and when looking at the Nether, the piglin types are reduced, like an army taking a beating and losing soldiers. Also, the Orb of Dominance was found by the Illagers, as if it was left there for many years by the piglins. This leaves us with Minecraft itself, with the lore of all three games and items in Minecraft. We can assume Minecraft comes later after Dungeons and Legend. This is very prominent in the game when looking at a lot of stuff. The Nether looks old and ruined with Bastion, the remnants of old piglin bases. Iron golems are overgrown by plants, as if for many years there was no use of them when the war was over. And finally, the End, where it looks so dead and abandoned. We know it wasn't like this in Minecraft Dungeons, as it looks so alive, but in Minecraft, we only see Enderman and a lonely Ender Dragon with its infertile egg (the reason the Ender Dragon egg could never hatch ruined my childhood). It makes base Minecraft seem so post-apocalyptic and calm.

Something I immediately gathered from Foresight’s first line in the trailers; Are they the Dungeons narrator? Sure, they don’t share the same voice actress according to Google, but you have to admit, the voices are too similar for Mojang not to know what they’re doing, right?

According to a RU-vidr (Bobicraft) who is in really close relationship with the devs of Mojang, he was explained by the devs of Legends that the Hosts are actually pulling someone from the FUTURE, not from another world.

I have a theory that after the war the older piglin made all the mobs hate each other via the orb of dominance to allow the piglin to grow more powerful.

Minecraft Legends isn’t completely canon, but it’s certainly legendary in the Minecraft universe. Just like the folk tales of Huck Finn or Robin Hood, the story within the campaign is a retelling of a legend passed down through generations in the villages of Minecraft. It’s like stepping into a Minecraft mythos where heroes rise, piglins invade, and the Overworld was once at total peace - a tale that’s in the blocky lore of Minecraft. so it's probably based on real events but a lot of it is fictional and exaggerated

Ruined portals in Minecraft might be the remains of the Piglin bases that we destroyed in Minecraft Legends...

I have a theory that they all take place in the same world and that the timeline is that legends takes place first, then dungeons, and finally the original game, my reasoning is that before legends illagers did not exist and therefore couldn’t exist in the other two games, firmly placing it first, next we have dungeons which is likely second, though my evidence is lacking but I do have a theory that after legends took place that the over world was in quite a bit of turmoil which made it easy for the pillagers to take over, and lastly the original game and it is likely the last game in the timeline because of the fact we see so many structures which are abandoned which is mostly not the case with the aforementioned games, as well as with 1.20 soon coming the new music disc “relic” apparently shares some leitmotifs with part of the legend ost (I just heard that idk) and the fact it’s named relic and is found in trail ruin is probably a sign it is the newest game in the series, these are all just thoughts though so don’t take my word for anything.

The order i think makes more sense: Minecraft Legends -> Minecraft Dungeons -> Regular Minecraft The piglins were a powerful empire back in Minecraft Legends but they started taking the overworld and help from the Hero was needed. The illagers became vindicators due to the war and as time passed, they began to rivalry the normal villagers. Then comes minecraft dungeons, in which the Arch Illager leaves his old village and finds the Orb of Dominance (probably hidden previosuly by the Hero on that cave) and gets the vindicators to fight for him. I also like to believe they started killing zombies, creepers, skeletons and other mobs, so that's why they also became agressive. Then the illagers get defeated by steve and we come to regular minecraft (which is present day) where the illagers are not very powerful anymore and the piglins are living on the Nether with no leader or war intentions.

My idea Minecraft Legends if first in the timeline Minecraft Dungeons is second in the timeline and then Minecraft is in the present And my theory Orb Of Dominance was sent to the Nether by the End the Orb corrupted the Seer and the Seer used it to corrupt The Leader and my Theory on what the Orb is doing well why waste units fighting a war when you can control someone else’s army to do it for you that’s what I think the End is doing they sent the Orb of Dominance to corrupt people and have them wage war weakening all the armies and it kinda worked look at the Piglins how massive their empire was and look at them now in Minecraft the loss of the leaders was a massive blow to the Piglins and they never recovered from it and the Overworld is no longer united But the End didn’t expect anyone to go through the End portal and attack their troops before they could launch the invasion but the damage was already done the Minecraft world no longer has the means to mount a massive offensive against an invading dimension but because of what happened in the Echoing Void dlc the End was also damaged and can no longer mount the invasion anymore

We must all agree that MC legends is just a villager tale that has both real and not real elements to it. The fact that villagers can imagine piglins so we'll in a story shows that there was indeed a piglin invasion somewhere in the Minecraft storyline... Did anyone notice how the horde of the bastion is linked to the vanilla game? In a way, the piglins in both games are quite different but the horde of the bastion may have survived. The piglin bruiser was renamed to brute for a reason, the skin colour of the piglins are also different for a reason... From all these similarities between the horde of the bastion and the vanilla piglins led me to conclude that the horde of the bastion fled to the fortresses they built in the nether after they were defeated, they settled down and probably became more passive. Their bastions began crumbling away and the once powerful piglins are now just an exploitable mob for MC speedruns
