Rotten flesh is useful, it also has a small chance to not give hunger effects after eating, it also gives 2 hunger bar, just don't exhaust yourself if you wanna stack those hunger bars

for bomber, just make sideways rocket, remove the piston and arm at the bottom, and replace with TNT dispenser! each movement of plane makes 1 TNT drop!
