I play on Xbox, and just saying, don’t even think about playing the betas. Xbone isn’t designed to export/import worlds, and even though it is possible it’s very difficult. And I don’t think there’s a rollback, so if you beta there’s no going back until they release an update.. just not worth it.

I’ve decided to stay in the beta, and live there. I do daily back-ups of my world and have already reported bugs. It’s like living in a purgatory. You get the good with the bad.

landondaracer make sure you save that world using the export world, and also copy the files in the folders Silent specified. As for your world, you will not be able to go back to the old version. You can either stay in the beta and continue playing it there, in which case do regular back-ups so that you don’t lose all your items in some weird death glitch or wait until the release. Once the official nether update release comes out, your beta worlds will be compatible. You can only open a world in the same version or a newer version of the game. Your world will be fine but only be accessible through the beta version and the eventual official nether update.

crispy creamy boi before you even start the nether update, make a copy of your world if you just want to explore but don’t want to stay in the nether update. Your stuff should be fine provided you don’t lose it. The beta worlds are supposed to carry over into the official release when it comes out, otherwise make backups of your game folder if you plan on going back to the current official version

I recently joined the beta program on my android phone. It was a surprisingly simple sign up. On google play you can sign up to be a beta tester for apps that ever ask for it, so I did that and then it showed minecraft as an option. I clicked join beta and had beta within a few hours I believe.

"How to join and leave the betas" It's that second part that's the hard part. Once you join you never leave, you're trapped here forever. Remember. When your friends say "let's put our group world in the beta so we get BEES!" You say no. You tell them that this is test material not play material and you remind them that patience is a virtue. Especially when you have friends who aren't familiar with the game and who will struggle even more with a ton of beta bugs. (Melodrama aside, I actually like the beta. My friends are just mildly insane)

Hehe yeah always make copies of your main world, and then when you load the copy in the beta make copies of the copies in case those vanish.

I’m kind of confused. My son and I made this zoo world on beta on his xbox. To save it we need to go on the computer and follow your instructions to save it so we can open it in the new version of Minecraft that is not beta. Is this correct?

if you made a world in beta, you will have to wait for the next full release to use it on a non-beta release. you can't roll back a world to an older version

What you can do if you dont want to restart everything and do this long process, you can turn on "experiments" in the game creation settings OR midgame, keep in mind that you should always create a backup world though if you do decide to do this because it can break or crash at anytime, and its tye closest thing we've got.

If you are on xbox I think its a savsd by the cloud automatically and if you're on windows 10 click on the button next to your world and export it.

@@SuperPizzaman so if your minecraft still shows beta, u wanna make sure u still have the Xbox beta app and go into settings and sign off of everything: sign off minecraft beta then go into Xbox App beta settings and sign out Microsoft account. It would take time for your account to fully get out of beta but it only took a couple minutes for me. I heard for some it took an hour hopefully thats not the case for u. Soon as your entire account is removed. Delete minecraft and reinstall it again :D

can you do an update on 1. if the preview and beta can play together and 2. if you leave the beta (on your phone) do your previous worlds get deleted this would he so helpful as I have over 100 worlds and don't want to loose them if I leave the beta

Silent, when you get the chance run your wither skull farm (the stray one), villager breeder, and guardian farm in the beta. I’ve been having an issue that sending mobs into the nether causes the game to crash when entering the nether. The only way to restore being able to go into the nether is to enter through a portal thousands of blocks away and make my way back to the affected nether area, using the despawn mechanism to clear out the mobs causing the issue. Feel free to vote on the issue MCPE-66678 on the bug tracker.

Hey silent, I don’t know if you’ll know anything about this but if you do, please help me. The Xbox insider app has changed to some other application, but it doesn’t install properly to the Xbox one, and I’ve checked this with other people that it isn’t just me. Without this app working you physically cannot go on it to unenroll from the beta. Any ideas?

switch back to beta than! :) You will get all of your stuff back and I think that if you back up the world, it will all transfer to the normal version.

Quick question: I only realised how big of a deal getting into beta minecraft is _after_ I already enrolled, so does that mean that backing up my files now would be pointless since I'd just be backing up post-enroll Minecraft? If so, I'm real screwed since it'd mean I'm stuck in beta for good.

My Minecraft windows 10 edition started in beta and insider hub will not install it is just a greyed out box and my mouse turns into an x when i go over it how do I fix this?

ANDROID USERS: your worlds will only be saved to your files if you have “file storage location” set to external! This is in Minecraft settings under profile! I don’t know what this will do to any worlds saved under “application” but I suggest you set it to external(also allows you to back up easy) If you are on android then your files are in internal storage-> games->com.mojang! Also to join(and leave) you use the play store... you might be safe not doing this all(I still suggest it) as long as you don’t have a program that removes files when you uninstall an app... I have swapped back and forth a couple of times and never lost anything...

There should be a way to upload any worlds saved to 'application' to Minecraft Maps and then download them again to the 'external' I have more worlds on application than on external It would take a very long time to replicate them on my Switch
