I hope that they keep this in the game and never "fix" it. If Mojang removes this it would drastically cause bedrock farms to suffer since we do not have the sweeping edge enchant.
I just finished building your raid farm, and I love it! I was finally able to build a great sword. One issue thought was the raiders were spawning on the bed and killing the villager. I fixed it by putting the villager in a separate leaf chamber, letting it connect to the bed, the covering the bed in leaves.
Thanks For the life of me I could not make this work. My pistons would initially work, but would then quickly spazz out. Checked chunk borders and that wasn't an issue. I gave up trying to fix it normally. Went back to caveman redstone and repeater to simply delay the the signal long enough to where they go one at a time.
I know this vid is old but I came across your vid recently and now I have a way to afk in my world and get xp. Thank you so much for being a part of the bedrock community! i can not say how happy i am to find a trident killer that actually works in my mine craft world. the amount of stress from failed dizziness was diving me insane. so thanks for having a diazine that works.
Its not really that big a flex, an auto clicker and sweeping edge 3, mending and looting 3 do the same thing. And almost every farm is so much slower than a java farm, that you would rather just have that java farm, especially since bedrock simulation distance is so small
I just hooked up your last design to a a general mob farm that I was previously using fall damage on. It’s nice to be able to utilize looting and it works fine, but I have noticed some weirdness with the XP. It’ll bunch up at the bottom of the bubble column for a few seconds and then come up to me in packets. I will make this change I think. Much simpler just flushing everything out of the kill chamber than rely on glitching a hopper-cart into a block and hear the dropper going off constantly.
A question I make the murderous trident literally the same as the video, when I activate it it increases the speed and does not let the items come out Someone else happens?
The solution is to make the mechanism in a chunk or as I did, strategically place the two repeaters that are 3 ticks apart in one chunk and the one tick repeater and the dispenser in another chunk also works

Replace ice blocks with magma for whirlpool of death. Excellent for guardian farms. Water source is no problem as there will always be three open source blocks at all times so it will regenerate every cycle.
for anyone looking for a 1.17 fix, change the 1 tick repeater to 4 ticks. Not perfect but every 5 seconds or so the items and xp will finally get flushed out the chamber

On the note of endermen not able to get hit by projectiles. I was end busting and an enderman, that was trying to attack me, started floating away with white particles around it😬 it was hilarious but crazy how the shulker managed to hit it
I tested Impaling IV and Impaling V. Mobs with 10 hearts (zombie, skeleton, piglin zombie) both impaling IV and V will 2 hit kill them. So its okay to use impaling IV of you dont have impaling V

The vast majority of the experience particles just get stuck in the 3 corners and never move to the other, I built multiple of these and I always get the same problem, do you have any solution?
Were they real particles or phantom particles? There used to be a glitch that disconnected the particle from its visual item. The phantom orbs would stop midstream, because the real (invisible) orb was at its destination. If you collected the invisible real orb, the phantom one would disappear too.
I have a guardian farm that sends all the mobs from each spawning spot into the nether to one portal in the nether. They are spat out into a trident killer, and this works fine. I think guardians are ok for trident killer, just maybe get them low with some lava beforehand

Just made it for my gold farm but the items get stuck in the trident killer and don't come out. Any fix? Will having a hopper minecart beneath the ice work?
What I did to fix this was to water log the the piston he showed in the video.Then when he water logged the stairs I skipped that and water logged the piston to the left of where he placed the stairs.

When using this trident killer I have found a that skeletons with thorn armor actually damages me and when afking overnight I died. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
Is it possible to combine a drowned farm with a normal mob grinder? I don't care about the speed of drop rates, im just wondering if I can combine multiple mobs farms together I found a way to add a gold farm to my current mob grinder (it is above a level in the current build and still need to adjust light levels since portals have a lot of light) and I'm wondering if I can take a section and flood it with water, also above the current build To sum up Can I add a layer above the mob trap with a trade off of spawn rate
Yes I think, if I can see your build rn I can probably think of something, but it's possible, just make sure that you have a 9x9 area and continuous water flow to avoid a mob cap, and set your simulation distance to max like 6 chunks so you can afk
you want the water, since impaling needs water to work. also, it doesn't matter how loud it is since you won't be near this build:) its intended to be far away, and deliver all the drops/exp to you :D
@@silentwisperer no with his design it uses a slime block to deliver the xp which is more lag efficient as their is less pending ticks and the fact that you can drop the mobs down mostly makes up for the impaling
When I built this I found that the pistons move so fast, that the items never flow out. I tried adjusting the repeaters but anytime I did that the timing of the pistons was then WAY off. Is there a way to slow the pistons down but still maintain the correct timing? This way the items would actually have a chance to move their way out of the chamber.
@@DaCliffBar I solved this by doing two things. I use an earlier model of Silent's trident killer where the pistons are slightly slower. The earlier model is on his RU-vid channel. Another thing I did was just to use hopper minecarts to collect the items, and I just stand in one of the corners to collect the XP. I found that using a system like this that does not rely on water streams, IMO anyway is better. You can then use this trident killer to kill cave spiders, and baby zombies are not an issue, because the system is completely closed off.
Still having the issue the XP orbs getting stuck on the piston next to the water stream. Tried different timings, using a half slab instead of a trap door but that does not seem to make a difference. Anyone any suggestions? Oh and yes i am using it with guardians, made a simple roof so they dont jump out wich works perfectly fine :)
Would a chain prevent them escaping but give the xp more room? There is an XP bug where the orbs exist but don't show the proper XP location (phantom XP orbs)

Silent, if you read this, I’m having trouble with the guardian farm you have. Most of The XP gets stuck in all the kill chambers, this happened after 1.16. I know you mentioned this in this video I don’t know how to fix it. Love your vids. 👍
Would you ever consider making a firework randomiser where it has all ingredients to make a firework and then it randomly gives you a select few to make a unique firework.
Just built a skeleton farm using this killer and it works well! A FYI if you have your mobs dropping down a one block chute, Add a piston with a lever just before the kill chamber so you can block the mobs from entering the chamber if you have to work on it or change it for any reason.
This works so well! I put one under my passive mob farm (which is a dark room high in the air). I rigged it to come on only when mobs fall thru a trip wire. It runs about 4 seconds using a signal extender, then stops. I walk by to pick up the xp from time to time.

I had to adjust my repeaters to different tick settings than you had. I had xp getting stuck permanently in there. Items were coming out no problem but like half the xp would get permanently stuck.
Silent, will you do an updated version of a mob-head farm when 1.17 comes out? I have seen many people make a very good use of the Lightning Rod in the recent snapshots. Hey silent as a bonus for this trident killer, you could add a dropper which spits out nautilus shells to get perfect tridents from the drowns. Great tutorial 👍
If I haven't said so already, you are incredible! This design, allowing items to make it through the gap instead of relying on a single hopper minecart to move them, massively increased the item output for my gold farm!
The setup used activates the pistons in order (1, 2, 3, 4). This does keep items and xp from exiting right away. It also cuts the kill efficiency of the trident killer to that of just a single trident. With multiple trident, the pistons force the trident to clump together. The game does not apply a hit from more than one trident at the same time. If you instead, set the piston activation to activate opposite side pistons at the same time, you can place in two tridents that stay seperate and double your kill efficiency. With the different piston activation sequence, you will also create a better opportunity for loot and xp to escape.
Hey everyone, if anyone is having waterflow issues in 1.19 where the items never flow out, you can use a row of hoppers going from the trapdoor spot all the way to the chests instead as another solution and that fixed it for me. Happy hunting! I used this on my creeper farm and the rates are great.
to be fair, if you're resorting to using hoppers, you might aswell just have a hopper minecart underneath each of the 4 floor spaces of the trident killer and not bother with the waterstreams at all, the main purpose of using the waterstreams is to avoid the slow speed of the hoppers :|
If you make a small hole connected to a water stream that “dumps” guardians into the killer and cover the blocks just above the pistons with glass except for the hole that the guardians enter from, will make this farm compatible with guardians. Ive basically combined JCPlayz’s guardian farm with my modified witch farm trident killer, it works pretty well. Got 2 double chests of prismarine in about two or three hours.
I noticed that a lot of people are asking if they can put it in their iron farm, that is useless because golems aren't affected by the looting, and they will agro for ever
Tech needed I am hooking up 4 iron farms, 1 gold farm, sugar cane farm, bamboo farm into 1 massive storage system. Keeping even the rotten flesh to trade for emeralds for mending, unbreakeing and diamond armour and tools. HYPER STONKS
