As someone with a background in Chemistry, I can confirm: this is very cool! (In case anyone is wondering, it is reasonably accurate. It is, ofc, a simplification, b/c Chemistry gets _complicated_ real quick. But a good tool to learn for anything up to high school levels.)

I remember having a lab and there's a obsidian or bedrock place for explosion and U taught me tysm !!!

I really appreciate that mojang is taking the time to create an educational edition.. but I would love to see some of these features come into the actual game itself, not just if you enable education edition :)

Someone needs to make an adventure map with puzzles based around this gimmick.

To make Sodium Hypochlorite, place 1 Sodium, 1 Chlorine and 1 Oxygen in the 3x3 grid. When crafting Sodium Hypochlorite, you can place the elements anywhere in the grid and you will get the same result.

Your pronunciation of the chemicals cracks me up. It’s like you didn’t even read the name

Sodium hypochlorite= NaClO Na=Sodium Cl=Chlorine O=Oxygen Just some notes if u need bleach. EDIT: Just ask me and i will edit it.

Its not all completely accurate, but it is correct. Here is how to make all the elements: Sodium hypochlorite(NaOCl): 1 chlorine, 1 sodium and 1 oxygen. Calcium chloride(CaCl): 1 chloride and 2 calcium. Tungsten chloride(WCl): 1 chloride and 6 tungsten. Also, the bleach is also made of sodium hydroxide in a solution. Sodium acetate is an organic chemical. The reason underwater tnt is made with sodium is because sodium reacts with the hydrogen in the hydrogen oxide(water) and explodes. The only thing that puzzles me is that the tnt doesn't instantly explode and has to be lit/ignited instead of just exploding in the contact of water. Wow, this is seriously awesome! If I was still in school, I'd be waaaayyyyy more interested in chemistry if it was presented in this way. There's an actual end result/product that you get out of it that actually benefits you in a way that nothing else might be able to, and that's a fantastic way of understanding the importance of chemistry and science as a whole, from a practical standpoint and not just as abstract concepts.
