Disclaimer: not a loop de loop. It starts and ends at the same place, that's all.
This took me a long time to build, and was done in survival mode (hence all the glass). The track starts and ends in the same relatively small building (at the end you can see the door I took to start the ride only a few blocks in front of where I stop). It's a loop of minecart rails that take about 10 minutes to get around, with a couple of "stations" if you will along the way. I used invedit for most of the rails, glass, and glowstone on the route, but it was all placed by hand. Everything else in the world is also dug/built by hand w/o invedit.
