Na początek polecam używać moda Custom NPC i Lord of the Rings (ten mod dodaje dużo wyposażenia dobrego dla NPC-ów i gracza) i ogarnąć trochę komendy.

Demon Lord is Barlog from Lord of the Rings mod, in Custom NPC I can make NPC who look like Barlog if I have Lotr mod. All bosses and enemies in this video were made in Custom NPC mod.

If you add bow to npc, he won't be able to shoot, you must add ammo (in inventory) and next set range options if you want to make shooting npc. Hardly ever equipment gives npc effects, I know only one item that gives effects to custom npc when it is equipmen by npc - exoskelet armor from flans (npcs run faster when they equip it).

You can make it scripting (I don't have any script experience), or you can make that boss will add points to facition after his death; in custom NPCs is block that if activated emite redstone energy and you can add conditions to this block, for example: if you have 2000 points in faction "xxx" it will active redstone mechanism like dispenser (it can spawn NPCs if you put soulstone inside it), may command blocks are able to spawn NPC, but I'm not sure.

Masz wpis na forum: But updating this mod from 1.7.10 to 1.10, or 1.12, would be a truly monstrous task. Updating to any new version requires going through all changes in the intervening versions - and in the 1.8 update, Mojang made a great many changes to the game's internal logic which were terribly disruptive to modders - or rather, dare I say, destructive. And that's just for mods that add new blocks, items, and entities. Again, I cannot overemphasise how complex some parts of this mod are, and how many areas of the game it interfaces with. A significant amount of the mod's code would need to be completely redone. The thought of updating to a new version horrifies me. Also, there is no reason to believe that the ability to play Minecraft 1.7.10 or run a server on 1.7.10 will disappear any time soon. In fact, I'd be willing to bet one will be able to play the mod on 1.7.10 indefinitely. With that out of the way-

It is impossible to set smaller melee attack range than 1, but you can: 1) decrease melee attack speed (and eventually increase damage a bit) 2) you can decrease size of NPC, but increase his scale for each part of his body, I haven't tested it, but it will work probably (it works only for humanoid NPCs that have scaling options) 3) the last thing you can do is to disable melee attacks, but make range attacks (with small range) imitating melee attacks that player will be able to dodge depending of speed of projectile. This kind NPCs has to use "UseRangeAttack" ---> "OnTheMove: 3-4" to work correctly. If you want to try this option but you don't know how to set correct stats let me know. *I don't have scripting experience but maybe with scripts it is possible to make melee attack range shorter.

It was demo version of map with tons of mistakes and bugs with a lot of unfinished things. Some mistakes were as bad as I don't want to remember them :c I'm working on names, dialogues and story rework, map still will be hard. I want to rework enemies to make them more interesting, also I deleted unnecessary repeating enemies to make performance great again.

It is a half human and half cobra. He uses his poison hammer for near range and throws poisonus skulls for far range and he has 100 knockback resist and he has 2000 health (10000 hearts)

One of my maps had a giant dirt block as a boss, who summons smaller dirt blocks, WHO THEMSELF SPAWN EVEN SMALLER DIRT BLOCKS.

In this video I used older version for 1.7.10, btw I think that it is a bug and in next update it will be fixed.

@@camffeee You can set in AI - use range attack: at the move and then NPC will follow player, shoot at him and use melee attack at close range.

Idk, podałeś za mało szczegółów, NPC musi mieć ustawioną frakcję, która jest wroga do gracza, albo do innych frakcji (wtedy trzeba tez ustawić "atakuj wrogie frakcje: tak"). Ewentualnie można ustawić "must see target: no" to wtedy NPC będzie widzieć przez ściany i aggresive range na full, czyli 64. Jak jesteś na kreatywnym NPC-ty nie zaatakują cię.

@@NPCWAR przechodziłem na survival i dalej stał w miejscu, dzięki zoabcze moze coś z frakcjami zwaliłem

I think that guy who made this mod will never move his mod to version 1.12.2 because minecraft 1.12.2 use other resources system and he would have to make his mod from scratch (almost from scratch because he can use old textures but for the example new version of MCreator (mods for 1.12.2) use other 3d model format and he can't move old workspace to new modding program (probably - I never tested it)). I don't know what program he uses for modding but he will have a lot of problems with moving his mod for higher versions (bigger and advanced mod = more problems).
