Joel noticed that Etho took damage after he took damage and thought Etho was either extremely childish or it was a coincidence...turns out it was Etho being extremely childish lol

Etho discover 1.19 and immediately mess with the warden, what a way to assert dominance

"I'm already on yellow life, let's go have fun with the warden" And that's why we love Etho

So in total, the ways to approach the Deep Dark I've seen are: Run in naked with a hoe, destroying shriekers and dying until the place is clear (Skizz) Take loads of wool and be very careful (Xisuma, Pixlriffs) Prepare weird emergency strategies (Impulse) "I don't have to outrun the Warden, I just gotta outrun y'all" - most of this server

Funny that endermen have been taking people out while the fancy new warden hasn't got a kill yet. can't beat a classic like the enderman!

Bdubs and Impulse: The Real Housewives of Double Life

i cant get over the whiplash of going from Joel's happy little "relation-SHIP! :D" episode and then to Etho's that was, imo, scarier than most modern horror movies. what a great duo, honestly

Be careful with that boat fall-damage cancel trick. If you fall exactly 49 blocks you take fall damage and die, unless feather falling. Also if you ever go red be careful not to accidentally make a 49 block tall tower and accidentally leave a boat on the top, that might accidentally be really bad if someone were to find it.

etho literally SEES the Warden at 30:19. how is he not mega-dead lol, especially after that chase sequence..... whoof. my heart, man!

17:00 - 32:00 While it was a bit chaotic with all the Warden summons, they actually handled the Ancient City really well!! or at least Etho did-

"As slow as cold molasses going uphill" is the expression I know LOL That was hilarious hearing Etho say that!

Etho and Zombiecleo interactions are ALWAYS my favorite. They play off each other like few other people.

You can tell Etho really wanted to place down torches when he gets the darkness effect, and cranks up the gamma of his videos higher than a flashback scene, on a beach, of a nuclear bomb's mushroom cloud erupting , while watching it in a dark movie theatre having just woken up at 2am.

This episode was insanely entertaining! The whole Warden debacle kept me on the edge of my seat and it was made even better by the fact that you escaped death more than once! To be honest, you were probably one of the better handlers of the situation--I saw you jumping specifically on that wool, which was a good call considering that you almost smooched the Warden right before. Watching you learn how to handle the Warden to enchant in the coming episodes will be a treat! Thanks for the really fun episode! Oh, and I'm super glad that you didn't end up falling prey to Bdubs' fearmongering about Joel. The Relation Shall Live!

Jesus. This episode had my heart actually pounding. Mojang did an amazing job on the sounds for the warden and the guy who made the warden area did an amazing job on lighting and setting.

Imagine making your base in the Deep Dark. Sure, you're in constant danger (maybe make a house out of wool?)... But anyone who goes after you also deals with the Warden.

Turns out you don't need to be perfectly sneaky to make it out of the deep dark alive... you just need to adventure with people who are louder and more panicky xD Etho and Impulse, you handled that trip impressively well! And Etho, those skulk catalysts might be most interesting thing you could have gotten: you might be able to get sensors from them into a strategically viable position without silk touch! Plus, skulk catalysts can spawn shriekers that don't summon the warden but still make the sound and the darkness effect... I'm sure those could be very useful for both defenses and pranks. You can't pick up any skulk blocks without silk touch though (and I'm not sure whether you can get silk touch from a basic enchanter without bookshelves) so be careful where you put down the catalysts you got

this was 40+ minutes of absolute top tier entertainment! all the stuff with the warden had me terrified--the fact that u had your first ever warden experience in a series where you have very limited lives was... a choice. loved every second of it tho! :D

the real powermove should be to name tag the warden so it doesn’t despawn next time so no one is safe there anymore

3:09 & 10:02 the chaotic duo does not disappoint. Joel was known for being chaotic, and Etho the wildcard. the two of them now have to reckon with the matching energy 🤣 live with yourself! "get in the hole! ...made me wait at the store all day... while you shop!" why am I laughing so hard this is such a random but universal experience the horse shenanigans was actually so so fun to see omg people don't use horses enough I honestly have not seen any survival encounters with the deep dark yet so this was a fun and scary watch. Don't worry Etho, I couldn't see the Warden either Joel has no business making such a beautiful boat for a base in this amount of time. He's amazing. Bdubs' and Impulses's "sowing the seeds of doubt" was so funny, and even funnier when Etho sussed it out at the end and Joel got to be a proud loyal husband. (honestly it's a very silly idea to try to make the soulmates distrust each other since they have almost no choice but to work together. it would be more influential to doubt other pairs lol) that ending just casually escorting the pillagers LMAOOOO

I know you've been busy with real life, but can I say the forced weekly uploads from this series are an absolute joy. Watched you for over 10 years now and love the curiosity that you approach this game with.

This episode is full of absolute gold... **5 grown men staring at a frog waiting for it to jump** "Just a little bit short, just like in real life" "Is there anyway we could get (the warden) to chase us to the surface?" "uh oh, that was a catalyst going off" **starts to go dark** "NOO!!" **runs in terror** every part of 18:45 to be honest **enderman has more kills than warden**

LOL I just watched Imp & Skizz's Naked and Scared episode where Impulse was still new to 1.19, Skizz was showing him the ropes, and Impulse was screaming at every little noise- and now we're seeing Impulse teach Etho, with Etho being startled at every noise 😂 circle of life

That trip to the deep dark was absolutely terrifying! I can't believe everyone just went down there like it was nothing

With all the XP stored in those skulk, you could get very high levels quite easily. Make sure to do this before other people discover how valuable a resource it is though. Oh, and if you get silk touch skulk sensors will make for a *superb* base defense! Just the thought of a base that can "hear" you will be enough to scare most people away. I can't imagine the crazy redstone you could add to it too as defense. edit: you could make a trap that releases pillagers when a hidden skulk sensor is activated! edit #2: better yet, hook up the skulk sensor to an enderpearl stasis chamber so that you catch anyone attempting to mess with your base while you're away.

Another chapter in the adventures of the Boat Boys! Etho, I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with the warden mechanics, and making use of your wool farm, when you next enchant.

I forgot how much fun this series is. This one with players being souldbound to each other and Limited Life where they use a 24 hour clock instead of a death counter add so much to the original "Life" series idea.

Love this series. If you want to venture back down into the deep dark, there should be a room full of redstone goodies underneath the structure with the enchanting table.

Hey Etho... I really liked that you showed how to build the kind of sheep farm you usea In series like this, where resources are minimal and you need to get set up fast. Obviously we've seen you build the most exotic, interesting, over-engineered farms for every resource imaginable in your LP - but content like this video are way more useful to mere mortal players like us viewers. Honestly I think it would make a really good project in your Single Player to build all the farms you'd use to get started as fast as possible, you could go way out into the wilderness of your world or something to do it

Now that is what I wanted to see from the deep dark, everyone going together and having fun being terrified. Not just being prepared with a lot of wool and not triggering anything.

I had a crazy nightmare where this series became chaos, and sethbling (notably absent from this series) turned into some kind of cult leader after one episode of you not being there. It was really unsettling.
