Minecraft Dungeons 3 Years Later 

One information which i want to add into your review is, remember the Tower content you mentioned at 3:50. TLDR at the end. That's the entire concept of "end game" in minecraft dungeon. Firstly, the problem starts with the drop from the tower being the best out of the best, and players cannot farm those rare drops in any other contents in the game, which literally makes playing anything beside the Tower become pointless. Secondly, The Tower is a comp-on content, which means players cannot use any of their gears and have to start from level 1 every time they enter the Tower, using the default gears given by the system. So imagine this, you play the games for hours and got some cool gear sets, but you can't use them in The Tower, and then you realize the rare loots dropped from the Tower can't even be used to play in The Tower. 10/10 game design. Thirdly, there is a massive exploit in the Tower which can amplify the rewards to give the player game-breaking items with unlimited power caps. Super high armors so no mobs can ever kill you or super high attack weapons to one-shot even max difficulty bosses. And this exploit is spammable and have been existing for over 6 months, never gets fixed by the devs. Fourthly, as i've said in 3rd point, the devs don't care about the game at all. Completely pointless end game system and many bugs / glitches are being ignored. They don't even bother to communicate with the player base. TLDR : The game has very crap and stupid end game design - The Tower, which invalidate all other contents in the game and have insane exploits, yet altogether got neglected by its own devs, they just don't care. While the remaining people from the dry player base are slowly giving away all their items to other players due to no sign of any movement from the dev team.

If this game had a multiplayer lobby and way more quests and skins to unlock it would be one of the best games of the year

I love this game, but perhaps the biggest problem with it is that the only incentive to keep playing it and doing challenges and greater difficulties after you've finished the game is just to get better gear. But there is no new content that's locked by power level or difficulty, so there's no real reward for the grinding. That's the reason it doesn't have much replay value.

It's embarrassing how much I am enjoying this game with my youngest son. I play it even when he's not at school. My wife makes fun of me 😮

(🤓 mode activated) So there’s a offical novel that goes more into detail about the story, but even without it you can pretty easily conclude via common sense that the reason the villagers kicked the illager out was because all illagers do is raid villages and kill villagers (tho it was said in the novel that he was accepted into the village for a bit, until the guy who ran away from the big golem in the cutscene tried to kill him and put the rest of the village in danger, but all that does is make me look more 🤓). Also, once again I don’t know how this wasn’t obvious, but the illager was hypnotized by the Orb of Dominance. Also, not that it makes anything less cashgrabby, but you can buy the base game + all of the DLC’s for only 40$ via the Ultimate Edition.

There actually a book where its explained why the arch illager was Banished by the villagers and the rest of the story but i am not sure if its canon

I'm playing it with my 9y old daughter on Xbox as it's free on game-pass and she loves it. Cannot play Diablo 2/3/4 or POE with her - So it's nice to have a "kind of easy" ARPG typer of game.

The problem with a lot of action role-playing games is the fact that eventually your character will start to feel the same if you really want to do some of the in-game content, and normally there will always be a certain build that people will deviate towards that you will always see over and over and over. Take for example Diablo's Whirlwind Barbarian there are a few deviations from that build but you have to stay committed to that build at all times. Minecraft dungeons doesn't make you have to be committed to anyone setup and you can freely switch your build at any point in time. That is just one example of the many things this game does really well compared to its competition, along with having a pretty robust gear system and customization options overall especially after all these patches and DLCs. It's not perfect but the gameplay Loop was so satisfying when I started playing at that I ended up with a platinum. The game does the Gear system perfectly in my opinion and does customization perfectly in my opinion oh, well it's only true faults being the fact that you can't just play multiplayer with random people but seeing that it was supposed to be a kids game and and it's from an IP that caters towards themes in young children I understand why they didn't allow random people to just play with you seeing how toxic games are these days. But aside from the fact that you can't play with just randoms and only friends on your friends list, the game is almost near-perfect in it's application of being an action role-playing game. Very well-balanced gear, and overall satisfying combat system, hundreds of different setups that you can create with your characters, and as of now plenty of content. It's only downside being the game can get absurdly difficult, it takes about two full playthroughs to make a perfect build, and overall this game expects you to grind heavily. But the gameplay Loop is so fun that I believed if you're already a fan of this type of game that won't bother you at all. All-in-all I think as a first attempt at creating this type of genre from the Minecraft IP they did a fantastic job. Also great review my man.

The issue with Minecraft Dungeons is the lack of content, not the concept or existing gameplay. It would be significantly better if mod support existed. Unique items, missions, enemies, etc.. Would make the game so much better, and increase its longevity.

This game is the slop i like bro, it's basically baby diablo, you just turn your brain off for hours and grind

One level takes an hour to clear the whole map on apocalypse. The game technically doesn't start til u be it on normal

I may be a little late, i was looking at minecraft and noticed this. I have not played minecraft for over 10 years. I read in the unlimited edition it mentions as following: - Base game plus all six DLCs - Hero Cape - Two player skins - Chicken pet Is it the base game as in actual minecraft, or do i have to buy them separately I want the normal minecraft, and I also want to try this out

I feel like they just needed 2 more types of weapons to make it feel more vast.
