Since I've already gotten comments about it (and there's bound to be more), *Dynamic Trees IS available for 1.18.2, it's just currently an alpha build* of the mod. For new or returning viewers, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST before commenting "It's not available for 1.18.2, you lied" On the modpage, go to *files -> view all* and it's the first result on the downloads list [ *or alternatively, scroll down beneath the members area on the right till you find the recent files tab* ]. Keep in mind that alpha versions aren't always stable and not everything may work normally, keep that in mind

Hey man, Im a student in forest engeneering, do trees become thicker if you cut the adjacent trees in a forest? Making it so that you can improve wood cuality by taking care of a patch of forest, also can animals like sheep make it so that the forest line doesnt grow by eating the young saplings? Do trees die of old age and create holes in the canopy? This is a really cool mod as it is

@@mynameisd2849 Do trees become thicker if you cut the adjacent trees in a forest?: Only if you fertilize the adjacent trees. Basically the more spread out the trees are the thicker they are able to grow. If they are more tightly packed they are forced to be taller and thinner. Do trees die of old age and create holes in the canopy? No, they do not. We had that feature before and it negatively affected play quality.

There's a Biomes O Plenty addon mod for Dynamic Trees. It's available for 1.18.2 as an alpha release or in 1.16.5

love this mod, unfortunately it is very incompatible with Create and it’s tree mechanics, which means i can’t really use it in many of my mod packs.

You can convert saplkngs back. Or make it so normal trees generate, unless you plant a DT sapling.

As The Aurelia Sys mentioned, you can convert back to normal saplings with a dirt bucket I believe. Great mod to have for the visuals, practical use with other mods, can get a bit tricky

This is so beautiful!! Any idea on how to get those palms trees? Doesn't look like its in the base mod and I've been unable to find any other mods that look like that!

The palm trees are fruit trees from the Pam's Harvestcraft mod which fortunately has a Dynamic Trees compatibility addon available, giving the palm trees that look [as well as giving all the other Pam's fruit and crop trees that look]. Should be linked in the description if you want to check it out.

Hey, the mod is very nice and beautiful but... when i cut down a tree my game goes from 240FPS to 40-70 FPS do you know how i can increase my performance while using this mod ?

how tf did you get dynamic trees to blow in the wind??? O - O i see theres some sort of shader you were using for the vid but the default settings dont cause them to wave in the wind. ive never been able to get them to blow in the wind : ( would appreciate if someone could tell me what works for them.

Yes, I used shaders for the wavy foliage, AstraLex in particular for this video. The default for this shaderpack should have wavy leaves by default. If not, there's a shader options menu where you can turn them on.

The last update for the mod was back on the 14 June, so it's been there for a bit. It's an alpha build, which I believe don't tend to be visible normally. You have to go into the files tab, click view all and it's the first one on the downloads section. Keep in mind it's an alpha version and some things may not work as intended or could be unstable

hey its not working with 1.20.1 for some reason. im using forge 47.1.3 as their mod page recommends. "This mod is made for an older version of minecraft"

I love this mod, but as far as I've experienced, it isn't compatible with a ton of other mods, and for this reason, it's never included in any of the most popular modpacks. Let's hope future updates change this, been wanting it to migrate to fabric too

There's no 1.20 version yet, so no Cherry Trees. The mod was recently updated a few days ago for 1.19.2, so I imagine they're planning to get the mod in shape before moving to 1.20.

I quite like dynamic trees but you can not make a automated tree farm with mods like industrial forgoing and personally that makes the mod unfeasible

You can revert back to normal saplings with a dirt bucket I believe. Those trees are good for the scenery but can get tricky when using it with other mods

The only thing I don't like about Dynamic trees is that trees fall... That completely ruins minecraft in my eyes because floating trees are so iconic, it's even the name of one of the songs in c418's soundtrack

I'm the author of Dynamic Trees. There's a config option to turn off tree felling. When the option is off the tree will simply disappear and drop the wood.

I hate this mod. It makes it so much harder to get any decent amount of wood because it takes a gods age to fully grow any of the trees and I can't tell when they're done growing or not so by the time I chop one down I only get like a log or two out of it and have to wait literal days of IRL time for them to grow. Right now I'm stuck living in a tiny 2x2 cabin because I can't get enough spruce wood to make an actual house in RLCraft. What I need to know is how to easily farm these trees to get a lot of wood and how far apart to space them properly. I know I can bonemeal them but it takes well over a stack of bonemeal to get it to the right height and even then I'm still getting 2-4 logs per tree chopped and not the 5-7 I should be. Also, how do you make giant trees with roots and whatnot? Is it just a super advanced stage of the tree or is there some sorta sapling configuration I'm missing?

I'm author of Dynamic Trees. If you don't like the amount of wood you get from a tree you have a couple options. You can turn up the wood multiplier value in the config file. You can use fortune enchantments on your axe and get more wood that way. To make mega trees you use a potion of gigas which only requires charcoal and pumpkin seeds in the brewing stand. Apply the potion to a tree that is capable of being mega sized(jungle or spruce in vanilla DT) and it'll grow massive.

YES! I THOUGHT ITD NEVER COME! (edit: nvm, I saw this pop up at work earlier and thought it was finally back only to come home suddenly on the verge of ending my life because the video title lied and said it was for 1.18.2, I was really hoping to put this on my server and kill people with trees but I guess not, guess I'll suffer and kill myself.)
