I remember when I was in kindergarten and there was this boy that was obsessed with Minecraft... it was all he ever talked about. I didn’t know what Minecraft was back then, so being the little kid I was, I always told him that Minecraft was stupid and pointless... in 1st grade, I went to the dropzone (place where you jump out of planes), with my family, and I met a group of kids in the plane hanger. There, I saw them crowded around a tablet with a game playing. I nervously went up and asked what the kid was playing, and he said “It’s called Minecraft. Wanna watch?” So I peeked over his shoulder and saw him building a house of diamond blocks on a flat land. I was entranced, I thought it was so much fun, so creative, so free. I regretted telling the kid from my school all those times about how it was stupid, and pointless. When we got home the next day, I asked my parents if I could download Minecraft on my iPad. They said sure, we got it, and I remember freaking out and crying because I couldn’t figure out how to get a flat world, haha... I ran to my room crying and left my dad to figure it out... when he finally did, I played Minecraft for the first time. I build a house of cobblestone, a few floors, and loads of carpet and flowers. I remember feeling so proud of myself, and everyday I would spend hours making new buildings in this world. It gave me so much joy, I felt amazing. The boy from my school that loved Minecraft and I became good friends, and we talked about Minecraft a lot together. Later on, I got Minecraft on our computer, and I would spend hours everyday after school creating buildings in it, new contraptions... it’s no joke that there’s over 100+ builds in that world, and they weren’t small either... My friends and I would play over the years, make things, laugh, I didn’t know how horrible life would become. I haven’t played Minecraft in forever. The joy it gave me has faded, nothing truly excites me anymore. But I miss it. I miss my old friends. I miss the feeling of discovering new things every day. I miss being happy. So here I am crying to this music, in my bed, 6+ years later. Since then, my friends have faded away, we don’t talk anymore, my parents have gotten a divorce, my dad has done ‘things’ to me, my new siblings are both self absorbed brats, our aunts moved in and our house smells of smoke all the time, the only food in our house that we buy nowadays is so unhealthy that I’m trying to starve myself, but I can’t make myself no matter how much I torture my mind, my mother refuses to do anything about it, all of my joy has sparked out. I love Minecraft. Thank you. And whoever is reading this, it’s okay. You can cry if you want. The rest of us are crying with you.

August 23rd 2017 my oldest cousin died from cancer. Every time when I come on his Xbox and see that he has been last online on Minecraft for 7 years makes me shed a tear. Always thinking how cancer won against him and to help me overcome this I listen to his favourite soundtrack. Minecraft.

January 27th 2024 my two childhood friends were in a car accident, killing the eldest and leaving the youngest in the ICU (as of March 1st, 2024). Wednesay evening (Febuary 28th, 2024) I got a phone call saying that my grandfather was in a terrible car accident. I made it to the hospital with my family and was given the news that my 79 year old grandfather had been killed. This year has been a rough one so far and the best way that I have found to calm myself down and clear my head is with this music. This game was my childhood and it brings me back to the times I have taken for granted with the ones I love, times I wouldn't dare think I'd see this soon. Thank you for this upload. Who would have thought a game about blocks would connect so many people?

I remember the years I played this game for the first time. So carefree so blissful. Now, life is hitting so hard. $1800 in the bank to start. I need a job, I need to get a car, I need to finish school, I am going to need to get an apartment, I need to get my foot in the door for trades before Im left in the dust and most importantly I need to choose how to balance my family-friend life with my wok life. It's all happening so fast that it's unfair. In just a couple of years, I'll be an adult. I wish I could be a kid again. I wish I could live my childhood all over again, just so I could cherish it more. All because of a silly little block game. Fuck, I'm gonna cry

When i think of old Minecraft, I have one memory I think of, one world I think of. I was like 5 and I was playing with my big brothers. I remember when I built a big SpongeBob with a really big butt. Idkw. I miss all the houses I built. My previous worlds might’ve not been those worlds, but all of my worlds got deleted. I had like 400. The worlds I made when I was 6, best time of my life was when I was 6-10 then it all went to shit for like a year, it’s better now. And whenever I played those old worlds I got so happy and forgot everything that was happening. It was prime. Thank you Minecraft for supplying me with such great memories. It was amazing.

I wanna see all my old worlds... all my old servers i made... all the memories with my friends..

My parents live in a different country from me due to work, and I am also living far from my siblings because of university. During one summer break while I was staying with my parents, my mom got into playing Minecraft on her phone. My sister and I would join her world to help her out and build stuff. However, we stopped playing when I had to get back to uni. After several months, it was my birthday and unfortunately, I had to spend it alone in my dorm as I was super busy. The weekend following my birthday, I received an unexpected notification from my mom inviting me to play Minecraft again. So, I set my studies aside for a moment and joined the world. To my surprise, I found my sister there with my mom and they had set up a birthday party for me. Although it was such a silly and simple gesture, it made me sob. I really missed my family and was under a lot of pressure from uni. Those few hours of playing Minecraft with my mom and sister is now one of my most cherished birthday celebrations.

Turning 18 in 20 minutes want to make sure I’m ending my childhood the right way

I don't understand why, but im sobbing. Something inside me feels that listening to this soundtrack makes me incredibly sad, but happy at the same time. Every time I clicked play, killed a creeper, fed my dog, built my houses, got that first diamond, dying to that zombie that spawned in your attic randomly, is coming back to me. All of those moments. The first time I typed in my friends realm code, that was probably the most useful 2 hours I have ever used of my life. I played when I was 5 to early 13, then something in me said "Time to stop" I am now 15, with my permit. I think it was the dead of Technoblade, or his announcement of cancer that really made me want to hang up the coat and say, "It's time for these worlds to be discovered by another person." I have one last quote I wanna type before I end this comment. Well 2 actually. "Life teaches us that no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome these challenges and achieve something beautiful. And one day, we'll look back at where we started and be amazed by how far we've come." -Technoblade 2019 and then "When a man with cancer dies, the cancer dies with him, it isn't a loss, it's a draw." Have a good life before it flies by you. You wish your childhood would go faster when you're a child, but you wish life went slower when you're an adult. Don't make the same mistakes I did, live life as YOU want to, don't let others make decisions for you.

I remember building as many things on a tiny Minecraft island as I could while listening to this. Just a lesson for all you young people. If anything has changed it’s good to remember and hold on to what you used to have and get happiness out of that. That’s what makes this music so special it brings back those memories.

The day I discovered Minecraft as a kid was a huge, huge day for me. I've always been an avid gamer, even as a kid playing everything from Mario Party and Mario kart on the GameCube, to playing the classic Star Wars: Battlefront games on PC and the classic Xbox. I was on vacation with my family at this place in Sweden called High Chaparral, which is a wild west themed amusement park, and I was always the kid that went out and tried to find friends whenever we were in new places, so that's what I did. I set out to find friends. I found this kid, I can't remember his name now as this was back in like 2010, but me and him had been out swimming in the lake that he camping area has for a while and he asked if I wanted to come back and see a new game he got called Minecraft, and being the avid gamer I always was I was excited to try something new! We played for probably 2 hours before I got a phone call to come back to my parents so I went. I'll be honest, I was blown away at how fun it was and as soon as we got home, I got myself a copy with some money I'd saved up from chores... I spent hours and hours and hours just building, making underground bases and houses and so on. I remember when slabs were first added and how confused I was that you had to use a pickaxe to break all of them, even the wood ones... Gaming was always my distraction from reality, as my father was not a good father to me. Minecraft became my safe haven. It was the fame I went to for the better party of 5 years when I needed to escape the hell that was my home life, and although I don't miss being a kid because of how my childhood was, I miss being able to spend almost literally all my free time just playing my games and I miss the old ways of Minecraft, before the combat changes. I like tge new blocks and creatures and villages and so on they added, but the new combat system never sat right with me... Anyways, thank you Notch and the rest of Mojang for being such a huge part of making my childhood bearable. This game has done so much for me over the years and it still does to this day.
