Edit: yo, thanks for all the support and kind words, didn't expect this to blow up, lol, you guys are awesome, and so is the person who made this tutorial, have a nice morning/day/night wherever you are.
When I clicked on this video I was expecting something kinda loud with someone talking the whole time. I was instead greeted with a very chill and laid back video with a bit of nostalgia in it with the classic Minecraft music.
I love how you are in survival other build tutorials don’t deal with the restrictions us survival players have with flying. So it’s nice to see how you take this into consideration.
I don't think all tutorials should do this because of how you don't have to mine in creative and that makes it a lot less time consuming. But the flying point I agree with.
@@bluecrasher7710 You could easily change from creative to survival, with this cheatmode feature while you are creating your world. You can place the items in the chest and switch back to survival
@@frozenman82 to be honest, I've always done shit similar to those guys. No where near their extreme level, but I used to build that kind of stuff just not very well. I'm sure that with practice you definitely could. The stuff they do is stuff I've dreamed about doing since I was young. I don't think they fake their vids.
*Can we all appreciate this man’s hard work and effort? To be honest, I want to to try building it myself. Also, the calming yet nostalgic Minecraft music was wonderful. Thank You!*
Tip: Build a cobblestone wall 2 blocks away from the outer entrances (place the wall on he third block) with a 2 by 1 spruce gate leading into the other 2 by 1 gate. Place lanterns at the corners of the wall and on the 2 sides of the outer gates and in between. Also place lanterns on the inside of the little compound wherever u want to prevent mob spawning. Also on the corners of the middle section of the base. I apologize if this is complicated, but its super useful to prevent mobs from attacking u. I also personally placed sweet berries on the inside as an outline to the base, not at the gates ofc, to harm endermen/players. If u have questions, just reply to the comment and ill try to help. ty for reading!
I reverse-built this (up instead of digging down) so I could have a base of operations in a massive cave complex with a stronghold, ravine, and abandoned mine shaft. It's in a huge central cavern so I've also added an auto smelter system and automatic item transfer back to my main base. It's nice to recover from a day of diamond hunting in such a cozy spot!
Another excellent vid Folli, I love the symmetrical design! Just a word of caution: beware that mobs can walk over the slab wall along the top of your stairways, bypassing your gates and ambushing you in the night! Maybe replace the upper slaps with oak fence or add another set of gates at the bottom of the stairways in your own builds (though skeletons would still be able to shoot you). Maybe just sleep with your eyes open juuust in case! :)
@@randombackup8340 I bought it on Xbox today! Hype to give it a shot when I get home haha here's hoping I can get just as creative as some people I've seen on RU-vid lol!
don't mind the haters Folli. you state very clearly that it's 'a small and simple underground...to start off ...' etc. it's a good little starter - with a nicely produced video- that can be expanded/modified as needed [and the hostile mobs thing is a biggy] and some good design ideas. i, for one, am going underground :). oh, and i just checked out your profile. a TON of good stuff that i'll be 'digging' into over the next little while. thanks
I mean pretty sure everyone has lighten up everything around their basses usually, like they have a kind of big non mob spawn safe zone around their houses, with their farms in it and enchanted tables area and maybe nether portal rooms. Mobs wouldn't be able to enter the base unless they were following you from across the map.
Really cool base, but it isn´t the best thing when you can´t sleep because of a creeper that creeps at you from your celling... :D anyways you got a new subscriber! :D
For people that are saying that it isn't safe: pretty sure everyone has lighten up everything around their basses usually, like they have a kind of big non mob spawn safe zone around their houses, with their farms in it and enchanted tables area and maybe nether portal rooms. Mobs wouldn't be able to enter the base unless they were following you from across the map.
Actually... I have not lightened up anything around my house... I need safety IN my house. Not around it. If I want to do something safety, I do it indoors.
I like how you had the shaders on while making this, it gives nice vibes and I love how you did the lights, I made something similar but with shroomlights. Thanks for the tutorial.
Very cool idea and everything is done beautifully, the shooting is on top of it! I hope that you will soon gain a very large audience! Good luck with your channel development :) P.s. forgive me if there are errors in the text, I am from Russia and do not know your language very well
Man this was so cool i actually made the stairs and The square weren't the same but man that looked so cool i did that in a hour With graphics it looks super good thanks for the best tutorial with a relaxing Minecraft music Edit: You earned sub
The only major complaints I have (besides the fact that I will always always infinitely prefer the nonexistant ones with screenshots and searchable text) is that 1. your list of ingredients near the beginning doesn't include the optional decorations, the required glass, or the stone you use to replace the walls in the stairwells? And 2. it doesn't seem particularly mob-proof without some modifications. This is a really nice and simple underground design, and looks REALLY pretty!
this was simple and easy too make, but i changed it a bit, instead of having four entries to your house i only had one, the rest of the three where extra rooms for enchantment table, a mine, afk farms, storage system, etc... i hope this helps other people too decide if they want to build it or not.
