@obvlogan 1:20 it began being popular before that, pretty much began with Fortnite vs Minecraft memes 3:50 people were asking for bioms and caves updates for years before Mojang decided to overhaul them 4:03 Mojang listens to community suggestions and ideas, but this one can be debated so it's a pass. 5:50 "only added" and you listed huge updates which require a lot of coding, and this update really enhances the overall experience. And the newest update is Mojang completely listening to the community. Dog armour, auto crafter (was requested for a long time and they finally found a way to implament it), villager trading overhall experimental changes currently going on ( people complained that villager trades ruined progression and now they are testing how people perceive it), trial chambers (essentially overhaul for mob spawners without removing the legacy spawners and breaking farms, people have compained about spawners being just a cube with no action, so they made an immersive add on which doesn't feel out of place
@@jacobobos dude the "who even wanted a cave update" shows this guy doesn't listen to the minecraft community, and then goes and accusing mojang of that The cave update was the single most requested update of all time...
"all they added"⁉The terrain/world generation was one of the best things to come to Minecraft, and most definitely changes 'the survival experience' for players of all skill levels
I can't believe how far you've come, keep it up obvLogan! Love the editing btw. Maybe use a little less of the Minecraft click sound since it's a little repetitive lol
Tbh i feel like the peak of minecraft was IBalisticSquid's race to the moon and crazy craft series. Those just give me a ton of nostalgia. Great video obvlogan!
Ill be honest, the caves and cliffs update was a rly great update, making caving much more fun, and also making finding ores, which were previously more affective just being strip mined, which is boring af, are now more fun cause you find them in caves
i cant name any update past 1.9 except nether and caves and cliffs so ur right about that lol, but idk i think caves and cliffs is a beautiful update and also the most difficult update from a technical standpoint (watch some Henrik Kniberg videos, he did a lot of work with the terrain gen and explains how noise maps and perlin worms and stuff work, its cool technical stuff), but if im gonna be honest i think people talk about updates more nowadays than ever, i was like 10 at the time but im thinking from 2013-2018ish and honestly dont remember anyone talking about updates all that much but it might just be me. but either way i agree the game wouldnt rlly die because its not the updates that hold it together, its the large amounts of sub communities the games creativity forms (modders, pvpers, pack makers, builders, survival players, hardcore players, parkourists, redstoners, farm designers, and then theres server gamemodes like sw, bw, factions, hcf, prison, etc) it's similar to the reasons y a game like gmod or roblox might succeed
Very good vid damn! very different to what u normally make but i like it :D. Altho i do disagree with your take on caves and cliffs, but that might just be cuz i had seen the same terrain generation for 9 years before that.
Dang you responded fast, btw i saw your other video and it was alot better. Keep up the good work, but stop with 8 minutes of ”nothing” and then the rest being the actual important information
I think theses an update that could save MineCraft and which is The end update People have been asking for it for a long time and if Minecraft listens and did what the did with the nether revamp the end then maybe they could get a lot of people back
