I strongly disagree. This update made good villager trades even harder and more grindy most casual players probably won’t even bother with villager trading halls now
@talapantedtoad6461 exactly. Trading halls probably aren't intended and mojang probably want to discourage them. Plus villagers are too OP allowing players to get the second strongest set of gear with little effort. It also made the enchanter useful which villagers made it obsolete.
@@DracoJHow that was not intended, thats literaly the only purpose of the villiger. Secondly you really want to walk a million blocks on the search for a swamp, walking and protecting 2 idiots villigers that will get killed with everything on their way? Because that sounds so annoying and will only make players angry. I agree they needed to nerf, but they had to do a lot of changes first than do this, like give us the 2 missing villages, before adding changes to 2 villigers that are very difficult to get.
@@TheDarkOne1920 #1 villagers are intended to be villagers. Npcs you are meant to protect or Slay via your own choices. Iron farms, breeders, and trading halls in the traditional style are more technical and not directly intended but the sandbox of minecraft allows for them. #2 villagers made previous systems obsolete. Mining for diamond gear is no longer the optimal way to become op traiding is. And enchanting is practically useless if you can just buy every book. The last world I had, I never bothered making an enchanter because I had villagers. #3 they want to add more story elements yet keep the sandbox feel. That means the grind to the end of the game must grow more challenging because there are more steps to get there. Similar to how netherite upgrades make the bastion a 100% necessary structure to visit if the player wishes to progress after the ender dragon fight. There is potential for an update to enchanting and enchantments. This may be the reason a rebalnce for enchantment related villagers was necessary. Plus emeralds may also be receiving some new features due to how much players will need them early game due to the wandering trader. It's a game of balance. I do agree about adding more villages though.
Now that Mojang are focusing on villagers and wandering traders, why don't they add swamp, jungle, or heck, a cherry village? With the new librarian mechanics in the snapshot, it's just a perfect thing to do.
The reasons they won’t do it for jungle or swamp is because those biomes cause some village functions like raids to malfunction, but I don’t doubt they will add a cherry grove village! They could make it Japanese style! I think the only reason we don’t have that yet is because cherry grove biome is very new relative to other biomes
The Wandering Trader travels the world and visits mutliple biomes. It doesn't make sense for his Llamas to replaced with a different mob in a particular biome, conflicts with the Wandering aspect.
I think another cool thing they could do is have the Trader be a mob that only spawns on specific blocks. Namely hay bales. That way he'd only spawn naturally in villages, and would never show up out in the wild or near your base unless you plop a hay bale on the ground.
No that doesn’t make sense really, it’s a WANDERING trader, making them spawn only specific types of blocks would bottle neck it, instead you can look at preventing them from spawning on specific blocks like planks and stone and water
Infinite emeralds one water bottle= 1 emerald but 1 emerald= 8 sand so you basically got a emeralds duplication glitch because you get water from the same source all the time and he scams himself
I think wandering trader is still hella trash Instead of selling birch sapling for 999 emeralds and now he sells 8 birch logs for 900 and buys netherite armor for 20 emeralds
It is impossible. They're nerfing normal villagers to the ground where you cant cure them for better trades more than once, they trade less enchanted books, and you can only get certain books depending on the villagers biome.
@@bakedbeans198Are you telling me you _don't_ want to make custom swamp and jungle villages? C'mon it's like Minecraft Terraria! I think it's splendid.
@@henryhobbs8890Is really not, for you to find a jungle or a swamp, you have to walk millions of blocks. Now imagine walking with 2 villigers that you have to protect for millions of blocks. We don't even have defult villages of jungle or swamp. And now they even make reparing a tool almost imposible. So no this is a horrible change for now, it could be better if the change a lot of other stuff first.
