Guys I did it on survival it took me 2 days to finish the house. finding the materials were expensive and vary time consuming overall I finished this awesome tutorial thx❤

I loved the house. I built it myself! Though I do hate that I stripped down a whole lot of Spruce Logs, only to see in the tutorial that I can remove a bunch of them again. I'm happy with the result. Just wished the outline and stuff (of the little extensions) were already placed down to begin with.

I see I am not the only one who hated the fact that he filled all the walls first and then made the hole for the windows and entrance. Don't get me wrong the house is amazing and all.. but who else started to build it seeing the layout at the start and saying to themselves: "will be tight but it'll fit" to then arrive at the point in the video where he decide to add some "extension" to the house that make you say just there: "wait, that wasn't in the starting layout already? Well I'm screwed as I built it on the side of a mountain and now I need thousands of stone blocks to make it looks natural.." I already imagine this being annoying in creative, I don't even dare to imagine what it is in survival.. P.S.: I'm kidding there, I totally know how frustrating it is in survival.. well, at the end of that experience all I can say is: "it made a really nice fire"

Funny enough I found this video while looking for a modern home tutorial, because I’m awful at modern homes, and…. Somewhat ok at other styles. However when I saw the thumbnail, I knew I had to build it. It’s a very nice and simple build, with plenty of room to expand into a basement of the same footprint as the house, for a decent size storage room. The only thing I changed was using cherry wood in place of the spruce, and dark oak for the oak. Love the build though, definitely got a sub from me to get more cozy builds! :)

would dark oak be an ok substitute for spruce or would it throw off the whole vibe? i have maany chests full of dark oak logs from deforesting an entire island worth of it and i dont want to go finding and chopping a lot of spruce lol

I'll build it in creative, make a schematic, then drag it into my survival where I can build it without wasting a bunch of stripped spruce logs AND have a true footprint of the actual finished size. It's a gorgeous build, but a poorly done tutorial.
