I think you coud add fog in the pale garden too

Hear me out, add fireflies here, they would be matching with the creaking's eyes, and it would make them look like they blend in and scare you a bit more

It needs fog and tall trees

- Add tall trees (for spooky vibe) - Add fog - Add gray flowers

I love the eeriness of the biome, fantastic concept but I think that it could be taken even further. I think a more unique tree shape would give more personality to the biome, right now it looks more like a sub-biome of the Dark Forest rather than a biome of its own. Next I would love to see the implementation of fog, which only occurs in the biome kind of like a low render distance. Lastly I think that there should be more new plants since after all it’s called a “Garden” overall very solid biome but I would love to see it be taken even further

It needs more ambient and creepy design to really feel unique . It needs some sort of fog and also weird curly looking trees

- My suggestion is to replace regular vibrant grass blocks with mud blocks or new dead grass blocks - Add fog when you enter pale garden are - Make a tree taller

I like this biome but it could be better 1. Add fog, just have turning off for in settings 2. Add some more plants! Its called a garden after all! (Maybe a new flower??? Idk) 3. Add a reason to go there (Maybe you could use the creaking heart for something cool) These are just my ideas tho, no need to feel pressured :D

It needs more, this is totally empty. Fog? Taller willow trees? An actual purpose to go here? Maybe be able to craft something with the creaking heart. Maybe a unique scary temple?

Suggestion list: 1. Add more designs to it and have it spawn with one of the designs randomly so that it can blend in with the forest better. Or players can easily identify where the creaking is purely based on its silhouette. 2. Add fog to decrease visibility but allows the eyes of creaking to be seen even in the fog. 3. Add taller trees instead of just a bunch of small trees cramped into one place. Visibility drop isn't just more trees, fog is the way. Instead, having taller trees while being in a foggy environment allows for a more space, which imo is more spooky cause it is too empty and quiet but you know something is watching you. 4. However, players won't be scared purely by the environment alone if they know there's no threat. The major problem with the creaking is that it does too little damage. Half a heart in iron armour????? make it higher! The threat level is toooooo low to be scared of! 5. at least add an effect when hit by the creaking like blindness or slowness or a new effect or sth! Having blindness is a great addition, cause players placing torches in the pale garden is a hard counter to the blend-in mechanic of the creaking, so making players blind can make it less effective against the creaking!

They really just reskinned dark oak trees and called it a day.

Ok big problem with this biome though. there is no real reason to go here besides the new trees. I feel like it needs more...

Idea way not add the zombie horse in the middle in the wood as a reward. Give the players a reason to enter the forest and finely a use for the zombie horse.

The concept behind this biome is cool, but the execution is pretty poor. It should look more dead and unnatural, and there should be fog or something to add to the atmosphere.

This is actually a really cool concept. Also the creaking is scp 173/weeping angles made vanilla friendly

The same thing always happens and many fans come up with the same nonsense "it's incomplete and it will be thousands of times bigger when it's released" And when they launch it they just add 2 trees 1 block higher and changed 3 pixels of the grass design

Why didn't they make the trees actually Willows? It's lighter in colour than Oak so would have made sense with the new blocks too.

Needs fog, add mushrooms and trees and make them much taller to give a haunting feel, plus another type of pumpkin and it would be perfect to add owls or some new bird.

why not add more ambient sounds to the other biomes to make the lack of ambient sounds in the pale garden more out of the ordinary

For the biome, I think it would be epic if it was constantly covered in fog at night. Like you can see the fog from the outside, but its not see through, and then when you enter the garden you can see through the fog. This would force you to enter the biome without being able to see it, and thus if a Creaking is waiting at the entrance, you can't see it until you're near it. Bonus points for a fog machine or fog in a bottle as extra incentives to actually come here. Both would let you create a veil of fog on your own.

The pale garden is to much of a retextured dark forest. Make sure it doesnt move at all when looked at, no rotating ect

The creaker should do more damage and/or be faster. Entering the biome should reduce the fog on the player or apply the effect of blindness. There should be tall trees. And a purpose would be needed to go there. Otherwise it's an excellent job! I love that more horror concepts are being introduced into the game

Should've gone all out for this one. It's a shame cuz this could've been really cool. Some cool additions would be Taller/different trees: the pale forest kinda looks like a great value dark oak forest rn Fireflies: make them look really similar to the eyes of the creaking so we can't just pick him out immediately every time he spawns. Cut the music: make the forest have no ambience or music at all. Also implement something similar to cave noises to throw off players Make a reason to go there: why would I risk a Creaking encounter in the first place if I don't have to? Maybe making it so player-spawned creaking(s) act as auto respawnable golems for villages. Fog: spooky Grass: pretty sure that's just a regular grass color. Make it grey or even black. Some other plant life like a unique mushroom or flower would go a long way too

It feels like a horror version of a normal forest, though it needs some more new things to make it less like a normal forest. Add fog, unique blocks, change the trees more, etc. Cool though!

I was expecting news that hadn't been leaked because everything that was presented has already been seen but I loved everything!

why is everyone obsessed with an end update? the poor desert has never really been updated since launch. it needs one badly.

I like that it’s not trying to be overwhelming. It’s a part of the world, it’s there, it exists. Doesn’t have to have some revolutionary and groundbreaking new changes, it’s just a small thing to add to the world in a natural way

It’s just a modified version of literal blocks and biomes like the wooded forest and blocks like vines and glow berry stems, the only thing original is the creaking, if you wanted it to be creepy make it obfuscated a ton and don’t tell anyone that you added it. Oh and the creaking, very original, it’s just the weeping angel…

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like The Creaking should deal more damage to the player? Still a great concept for a mob though.

I think the creaking needs to be at least 1-2 blocks taller to fit in more with the trees. And the trees also look too similar to the dark oak trees, they have to look more like real willow trees !!

I'm definitely not the only one who thinks that the Pale Garden looks exactly like the Dark Forest we already have.

What if is they added a block to this biome with the same overall theme of the cracking like the eyes for example so you will mistake it for the mob

Everybody please remember that this is a Game Drop and not a major update so the added content is more of a seasonal based addition rather than a game expansion.

I love horror, I love to see mojang add scary things. Especially as a drop, new biome, new mob, new blocks as a drop rather than a major 1.22 update, job well done, lots of things added to a minor update I hate how ungrateful and upset the fan base can get, this isn’t 1.22, they specifically said “drop”, this is a nice update, new things are being added yet everyone can’t be satisfied. I appreciate the work and the things that have been added by mojang, hope to see more amazing drops like these, I so much prefer this over mob votes, rather not have the option to eliminate mobs and save one, this is really cool. Again great work Mojang, love the work you guys put into in such an amazing game ❤

I really like the biome and the mob mechanic but this biome ... it feels that there needs to be a reason to go and put your self in danger. Like just a little structure, a ruin like structure deep in the pale garden with something valueble you only can get there because i have the feeling that people just go gather some wood, or the other blocks and then never go in that biome again and then the whole weeping angel mechanic it feels like its for nothing but i am very happy with the game drops and i am very exited what the future drops wil give us 🙂🙂🙂

w uptade but whats the point of the forest? and what the creaking is protecting? the biome needs a structure with treasure in that otherwise there is no reason of explore there.

First of all make the trees taller and the leaves themselves more drapey and the vines longer to go with the taller trees. Second you should maybe add fog and some type of flower that matches the biome color when the sun is out but then when its night it changes color to look like the creepings eyes so the creeping can blend in more at night. Last maybe make the creeping a bit taller and more lanky or is that too unnecessary?

*_I posted this under the Minecraft Live when it ended:_* *I really love what they’ve done here with The Creaking and Pale Garden. I have some critiques though:* 1. The leaves of the tree should stay pale outside the biome. It looks silly with green leaves. 2. The Creaking should have a speed and damage boost to make it scarier. Turning around should be super dangerous. 3. The Creaking should still have a very small chance to spawn in the daytime, because there’s nothing to be scared of if you know it’s safe. *Edit: Here’s some bigger ideas of mine to add on top of this:* 4. Along with the tiny chance of spawning in the day, there should also be more sky coverage. This will be achieved by having a large variation of the tree. The forest will basically have two layers, with the regular small trees on the bottom, and the large trees poking out the top. This will make it darker, and have a more unique and cool aesthetic. 5. They should also add a small garden esc structure that adds a little to the biome. It could be something like a fountain, well, statue, etc. It could even have a special block or item to give you more incentive to explore and maybe even live in the biome. _I doubt most of these will be done, but I think they’re necessary improvements to the idea. Like I really like a horror biome on the surface, but I feel as though it isn’t at its best just yet, and these ideas could fix that._
