Minecraft Resource Pack Tutorial [1.20-1.16] (READ DESCRIPTION!) 

READ THIS PART AT 1:25: The "pack.mcmeta" isn't in the .jar file anymore. Here's how to make it yourself:
- Right click and create a new text file.
- Open it and copy/paste this:

In this video I'll show you how to make a resource pack/texture in Minecraft 1.19/1.18/1.17/1.16 java edition. Such segments as showing you how to use gimp to make pixel art (and how to make the eraser not blurry in gimp, AND how to save in gimp. it is a very easy program to use :^) I'll make a recolored diamond sword for a "pvp texture pack" because that's the only thing people make custom textures of in tutorials! This is also a valid way to make a minecraft texturepack on mac/linux, since gimp is a cool man's art software. I also show how to get default minecraft textures, which is very important, since downloading the default texture pack is not something you want to be doing. "Minecraft default resource pack download" is the last thing you want in your search history when mojang comes a-knockin'. ~Metameta Soupsoup
