Minecraft: Simple Redstone Door Tutorial (Updated)

I just noticed, in case din't work for you. don't use Metal plates or Gold plates, idk this don't work with them, use stone instead

*MATERIALS:* 6 Sticky Pistons *[Piston + Slimeball]* 50 Blocks (Of any kind) 18 Redstone Dust *[Mines]* 6 Redstone Torches *[Stick + Redstone Dust)* 4 Pressure Plates *[2 Stone]* 6 Slabs (Of any kind)

Just a tip. If you use wooden pressure plates instead of stone ones, you can move the pressure plates closer to the piston doors because they have no delay when stepping on them, to give out the redstone signal. (Bassicaly stone pressure plates have a 21 tick delay or 1 second, but wooden ones have a 0 tick delay or 0 seconds) i hope this helps!

I did this and it didn't work, on bedrock. But i'd like to add that it was a nicely done video explain how it should. (My 'doors' don't open even when i stand still on the pressure plate.)

Can u do an updated version because it won't work i have copied exactly but the torches are turning off when they shouldn't sorry but this video won't work with new updates

That is not the only redstone doors that we had and now we have different size, shape, style, dimension, inputs, haves and less, movements, logics and etc. Size: Now that is a 2x3 piston door but we have more sizes like 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 & etc. Warning! When increasing the size of the door, it make it more harder Shape: Square like 6x6 piston door - Rectangular like 2x3 piston door - Triagular - Circular - Hexagonal - Numerical - Irregular (any shape) & etc. Style: - Seamless Piston door - Non - Seamless piston door - 3 kinds of slime and honey block: * slime as a door * honey block and slimeblock use to push and pull the block - Missile silo door - funnel door - vault door (dual sided funnel door) - cave door - anti-cave door (cave door inverse or fully seamless cave door) - flush door / jeb door / secret door - face door - zomba door and etc. Dimension: Like making a 5x5 seamless piston door with a dimension of 9 Long 5 wide 16 high Total of 720 blocks And this is the basis of saying that is compact or not. Ex. he probally wont see this but, imma review the creation its really simple like it says, no annoying music, good size of text, actually working on xbox (since i made it on my xbox that i also own) so it actually works on other devices, gives a good amount of time, well explained, good redstone work, great redstone creation 10/10 thanks for the redstone creaton alot! i used this for one of my houses in my server, thanks alot!!!! oh also if it does not work then you probally messed it up since in my server im on bedrock and it works perfectly fine!

Did everythimg as in the video, still doesnt work. I fucking HATE redstone Edit: it does work but it took me multiple tries and a meltdown to realise that when you place the redstone torch under you need to place it directly under it, not on one of the walls Edit 2: it only works with stone pressure plates

Is there a way to adjust the signal time on this? Or use a lever or button for one side? I'd like to use this as a 'freight' door for dragging in animals on a lead, so the design as it is now isn't secure from the outside (I'd like to use a button or level for access from the outside) and the open/close signal is too rapid to allow animals to move through without getting harmed or locked out.

If your confused make sure that the torch direction is actually attatched to the redstone. This took 10 minutes longer than it had too lol

When i done making then the door just open and i saw a creeper

If ur on bedrock and the doors aren't opening just place 2 repeaters don't place them under the pressure plate place them right next to the redstone under the pressure plate and make it face the redstone torch under the piston and put it on 3 ticks

That's so simple. Even I had books about Minecraft relating to Redstone and command blocks; I thought It was complicated. Now; It's easier than baking a cake at home!

This just helped me make doors in minecraft way more easier than going complicated

because the mobs can also open it and the stupid villagers will play with so what is the use of the gate if the mobs come in and kill you

sticky pistons: 6 concrete blocks: 18 dirt blocks: 6 redstone dust: 18 redstone torch: 6 pressure plate: 4 i didn't count the amount used to cover up the pistons and this may not be totally right

Is there anyway to make the door close slower? This was an awesome video but my friend who plays this game just got his new keyboard and is slow with the controls and keeps getting hit by the door. Other than that this was an awesome build
