Well, I know I’m 11 months later, but honestly, to the farm community not so much, more to the general audience The “farm community” would usually just design their own, for example, I’m just watching to come up with my own design
Built it is 1.20, working perfectly fine Few pointers: >You dont need as many torches now, 4 is enough per layers >i suggest building an afk platform 126 blocks above the first layer, this will boost rates significantly >instead of using 12 minecart hoppers, use 3 minecarts with rails running under the magma, this way you ll save on iron and you dont have to put the water and fence gates
What I love about about the channel... It isn't the build design... It isn't the list of items... It isn't the simplicity... It's that they tell you the time that it took to build.
@mutantx wow classic videos! no bitch if you would like to get technical watch those long videos so that you could learn from it and make your own farm but, if you want to just do it just for the sake of doing it, then follow those tutorials thats just 10mins below.
@travis the maxus lol if your gonna say that say it to someone not just put of the blue, like say their name. people have names! I know you are slow so lemme repeat this. People exist.
Yeah it's way easier if you put the back fences first, then the front bottom layer, spawn golem, stand on fences and push it inside the two block area, close off third block, finish fences.
It worked perectly in 1.18 . For anyone having problems with golem , id recommend block the outside with a bottom layer of block just so that the golems cant escape. This way it is way easier to do the things inside the 3x3 area , then just replace the blocks with the fences on place! Also would recommend redstone torch instead of normal torches due to the light level changes.
I’ve seen most of these designs elsewhere, but i don’t mind because you manage to present it as well or better, and your channel gives me a really convenient place to find farms. please don’t change, don’t start using clickbait, don’t waste time, etc. you’re doing great as it is.
For maximum efficiency build the farm above the ocean and extend the spawn platforms up 3 more levels (since slimes spawn to y=40), and then afk at y=120 above the farm. Also I had to extend the collection hoppercarts to a total of 5 blocks wide as a good deal of slime got stuck on te edge and wasn't collected.
In 1.18, slimes now spawn at a light level of 7 or lower (you can find this information on the Minecraft wiki). So torching up the whole platform is a bad idea - use glow lichen instead to keep the light level above 0 to stop other mobs from spawning but at 7 or lower to allow slime to spawn. Hope this helps as it should explain the bad spawns you've been having in 1.18.
@@andrese68 I have a triple chunk slime farm from -55 to -39. The rates are amazing but I’m not sure if that’s 1.18s fault, the fact I’m on a server or something entirely different. I’d recommend as many spawning platforms as you can so go as deep as you can. A perimeter would be best but most people don’t want to go through all that
@@jholmes99 Looks like you're still responding to this thread. How stackable are these? I'm at -59 too, and currently just have three layers. Can I stack it up all the way to y=70?
That so-called "useless stuff" is the reason these farms work. Basically, you copy other people's work and never try to understand any of it. If someone was to question you about "your" creations, your answers would be something along the lines of "I have no idea how this works, I just copied it from someone else's video." And let's be real here, the content creator had to watch videos that contained all the "useless stuff" to be able to make this farm himself. A simple "Thank you." as your comment instead, would be less ignorant and naive. You have what I refer to as a dark heart. You have a disdain for all that which is not immediately important to you. Everything else is just disposable trash. I suspect that even applies to actual, real, live beings as well. I bet you would have no problem throwing away a human that did not serve some kind of immediate purpose for you.
If you're having trouble with the golems, try placing the the front and back fences first. Then dig behind and create the golem from there. 10 times easier!
This farm works perfectly fine for 1.18. You don't have to use redstone torches or do anything else. Only thing that i needed to do different than shown in the video is placing a fence in front of the 3x2 hole before spawning the golems because they kept jumping out of the hole. Also you need to make sure you light up the giant caves nearby which requires quite a few torches and some time. Edit: Also stay back further than 24 blocks
First, it works on 1.20 Second, a suggestion to instead of *(magma block -> hopper cart -> rail -> hopper)* to use *(soul campfire -> hopper).* So far no complaints regarding drops, it's easier to make and i think less lag causing.
Really good farm. Built it under my base. I play 3 h a day and by building things in my base I get about 2 stacks of slime blocks every day without afk.
You wanna know smt. We have a server, and when i watched your iron farm vid, wich was 1 month ago, when we got the materials, we actually made it. Guess what. It worked, we were so happy, cuz when we afked for 3 hours we got about 10 stacks of iron. Dang we are very very very pleased with your videos
The best and easy farm for Iron is one that s using 12 villagers and 4 zombies. (me and my friend got like 150+ stacks of Iron untill now, and we honestly can t even use that much).
If you don't have access to the seed (if you're playing on a server, for example), there's an easier way to find slime chunks than digging: Use JourneyMap mod, go to the mod in-game settings, and increase the following settings (under advanced options): Maximum mobs, Radar range vertical, and radar range lateral. Also change the fullscreen map mob display to large icons. Go afk somewhere and look at the map. If there are slime chunks around you, you will soon see a slime spawning (green slimey looking icon). I found 2 slime chunks this way near my base.
me: wants to build slime farm also me: realizes that i need iron farm to get enough iron for the materials me, again: remembers that doesn't have name tags, so builds afk fish farm to get some and gets 4. then remembers that has a village nearby :D, also remembers that they died when a raid happened *facepalm*. goes, finds another village where are alot of villagers and brings some home and builds the iron farm. then remembers that i need a lot of wood for the chests and stuff *facepalm #2* finds a taiga forest gets 4 spruce saplings goes back and plants a big tree and cuts it down. still not enough wood *facepalm #3*. gets another huge tree and by idk what chance no wood remains and it's enough *satisfaction*. the whole thing is true and im about to build the farm xD
I loved everything about it except the collection method, a simple minecart track on both sides, and auto unloader, and dropper+ bubble column would work best, all you have to do it just go to the chest on the surface and collect the drops every now and then, but this works all the same, and it was cool to see a new way of collecting the drops.
Thanks for the farm! I'm starting to get intereseted in bigger projects, so i would love some videos for exemple like the TNT flying machine, etc Keep up the good work! Best minecraft tutorials so far (in my opinion)
I prefer tutorial videos with text instead of someone commenting because you actually tell us something important constantly instead of alot of random and useless stuff with a few extremely important details that are unnoticeable mixed in. Clear and easy!
Another Epic tutorial, Shulkercraft! Your use of schematics in your videos to show the farm building process is really helpful and takes your tutorials up a notch from others. Keep up the good work (=
Finding slime chunk for bedrock mcpe is so easy I built a slime farm on mcpe yesterday it was so easy And it produces like 300+ or more slime balls per hour
For anyone wondering, it DOES work on 1.18. You just need to replace the torches with Glow Lichen. Thats because slime only spawn at light lvl 7 or below, and the lichen has a light lvl of 7. Just make sure that there is no block with a light lvl of 0 and you are good to go.
@@ianmclaren1914 They work too, they also have light level of 7. But Glow Luchen is cheaper, you just find one then bone meal it. Use whatever you want
Slimes spawn in the Overworld in specific "slime chunks" below layer 40, REGARDLESS of light levels. Light level below or equal to 7 is only needed in SWAMPS. Source Minecraft wiki: minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Slime
I hope you don't mind constructive criticism. The floors don't have to be that far apart. A big slime only needs 2.5 vertical blocks to spawn. You can make a total of 9 floors this way before you start seeing diminishing returns. I am glad you showed the end with a perimeter. Slime farms aren't very productive with a ceiling. Otherwise fine job.
Just to note with finding the slime chunks, you can also type “/seed” to get the seed of your world and just copy + paste that into the slime chunk finder x
Herokaine since all data about a world is pregenerated, yes. It is 100% accurate. However, if you started your world in 1.15, and wish to find a slime chunk in an already loaded chunk then you would have to make sure you change the setting on chunk finder to 1.15 instead of 1.16 If you want to find a slime chunk in a new unloaded chunk (or started your world in 1.16) then there is no need to change the version. This is because each version of the seed is different
You can put som fence s before spawning irongolem it prevents iron golem from running away and also build this farm in 2 combined slime chunks and build 2 of them for best results it produces around 1500 slime per hour depending on you how many caves you have lighten up
according to minecraft wiki slimes only spawn up to y=40 in normal biomes and between y=50 and y=70 in swamp so i guess it shouldn`t work but according to Berulio it does and i never tried
i think you can make it in an ocean biome, but not above y=40. it'll definitely be better. logicalgeek boy made a slime farm tutorial in an ocean biome: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XnSHyn1oNRU.html
@Berulio Gerundio i noticed that you'd already answered. i was simply sharing a link to a specific tutorial that is built in the scenario colonel hades described.
well yea i have already done it i just thought if i could do the layers on the ocean layer since i felt lazy to dig the areas but its fine i already did so either way thank you
The farm works in 1.18 ! I personally built it at layer -58 instead of layer 6 and torched every caves I could around the farm. It is maybe harder to do it in 1.18 because there are a lot of huge caves to cover, but it is still possible
You can maximize that farm by make each 3 blocks with slab. So each layer is 2,5 blocks high where big slime can spawn. In total you can make 11 layers from y=6-39 (actually 12 because bottom layer for collection point) for this big-lime-sticky chungus (i said that because when they spawn at toppest layer, when they fall into magma block it's sound like big bump😂😂).
built this about 5days ago. survival mode, 1.17.1 world upgraded to 1.18, ive spent the last 4days, and about 3500 torchs lighting up all caves and everything surrounding my area, literally dozens of hours spent, ive gotten about 16 slimeballs, ive tried afking in different spots, i have 2 PC's and 2 MC accounts, so ive kept one account in an afk position while i used my main to light up caves. my afk account has been afk on this farm since i finished it. 16slime balls... 16.. im gonna say this doesnt work in 1.18. disappointed to the point of losing motiviation on my world again. oh well. time to afk for another year. Shulkercraft really needs to update his tutorial titles and make sure people are aware that these farms dont work in our latest snapshots.
You’re a maniac offering to use a million minecart instead of one mobile, well, either I don’t understand something....? (Sorry for my English, I'm Russian)
PLEASE, stop giving false information. In 1.18+, nothing changed about slime spawning system. In swamps, they can spawn «between layers 50 and 70 in light levels of 7 or less». In Slime Chunks they spawn «below layer 40, regardless of light levels». If you're building this farm, you're obviously doing it in a slime chunk so you can place as many torches as you want. Anyway, I believe that this farm can be defined as outdated, changes in world generation made caves really hard to completely light up. So my advice is to look for a more recent video. See ya
@Srujan U actually below y40 I got 5+ stacks of slime balls or 44 slime block in 30min.So first layer at y39 till y23 I would recommend atleats 4 layers. Mine is 4 layers.more the layers the better
I just built it , works great, gotta do a vid a bout it. PD: The golems jumped to the magma, so i had put a fence before placing the pumpkin to prevent that.
if any of you can't find the seed file in your %appdata% folder, simplist way to get the seed is: - Join your minecraft world/server/realm - type "/seed" into your chat - this will work with or without cheats enabled - open your chat history by attempting to type, and left click on the green, very long number the /seed command gave you - it will automatically copy it. - go to mineatlas, chunkbase, etc and just paste the seed in with Ctrl V i've had trouble finding files at times so i find this is the best way to do it.
