Guide to smithing template in minecraft 1.20, trails and tales update. The smithing template is a new item that can be used to upgrade diamond gear to netherite and to apply armor trim to armor. This video will explain how to apply armor trim, upgrading diamond to netherite, duplicating smithing templates, and where to find the smithing templates.

I say this was a good chance to make deepslate insta mine able with haste 2 efficiency 5 as netherite got expensive and would make it worth it to upgrade.

Bro I just spent a decent amount of time strip mining all this ancient debris to get netherite. I finally got enough for all my upgrades & go to the smithing table to see its been changed. Had no idea lmao. Now I gotta go find a netherite template smfh. 😂

This IS AMAZING. I don't care netherite is more expensive, it should be really expensive. I Always loved using leather armor, because it was the only armor you could customize, but now, I can have both that fashion element (expanded upon even more) and the utility of better armor.

Pretty sure this is just me, but I really like the netherite templates thing. One of my issues in 1.16 was that netherite wasn't rare enough, so 1.20 essentially solved that for me.

I've killed 12 Elder Guardians (completed 3 entire ocean monuments) and still haven't got the Tide trim. And I have looting 3 on my sword.

Great video, Got a question tho. When I put a smithing template on armor, Is there a way to remove it and try new templates? Or is it just permenant and I have to get a new armor set?

I haven't seen a way to remove it, you can just put another one on instead in the smithing table.

your amethyst shard is not really a amethyst shard. That's an echo shard you get from the deep dark biome and ancient cities

I would suggest playing with your audio recording settings. I'm sure you could find some balance to make your voice sound more crisp. Or maybe a microphone upgrade in the future. Your voice is definitely good though. So about the actual armor trims. I got them all and I would say the rib was the hardest for me as nether fortresses don't have that many chests.
