In this 1.7.2 LanteaCraft Mod Showcase:
This Minecraft Mod is based on Stargate. The main feature of this mod is the Stargate which is used for teleportation. When the Stargate is opened it causes a very cool animation with special effects. A cool feature of this mod is the ability to teleport through dimensions.

I like how a 9-symbol address is unique to that particular gate no matter where it is located in the universe, and that this mod reflects that. A 9-symbol address actually has nothing to do with position or distance.

+Bella asaha The 9-Symbol adress in stargate leads to the Ancient Explorer ship, Destiny, seen in Stargate Universe. The only way to get to the Destiny is to be on an Icarus planet, and Icarus planet is a planet special with who knows what that is able to dial to the Destiny. Obviously, the Mod can't do this.

The Phoenix The only reason they need an Icarus planet to dial Destiny from the Milky Way is because the distance has become so great over the years that a lot of energy is needed. It had been previously established that greater distances require more power in Stargate Atlantis (needing a ZPM to connect to Earth). It has been shown that the 9-chevron address can be dialed without the need for an above average amount of power (when Destiny dialed Destiny). One can also assume that they wouldn't need a ZPM to establish a wormhole from the Milky Way to Pegasus Galaxy (and vice versa) if the two galaxies were (extremely) closer.

You completely broke the laws of squareness in the Minecraft ! There is something called "quadratur of the circle" though, so he may be using just that, to make the circle in a square world :D Anyway, mod looks epic!

Things Pat missed: You have to put Naquadah ingots in the stargate for it to work. You make the ingots with the Naquadah it drops, and an iron ingot. If you press the button in the middle of the controller when a stargate is on, it shuts off. If you break any part of a stargate when it's on, it will blow up.

The 'Stargate controller' is called a DHD or 'Dial home device'. It's pronounced 'Na-quid-a' and 'Na-quad-ri-a' (simple). AND YOU CAN'T GO TWO WAYS IN IT!! (That part annoyed me). Cool mod though. Watch Stargate.
