i really like how this video isnt just some timelapse and youre actually explaining things yourself! no hate to timelapse builders, their buildings look beautiful as well, but having you present in the building process is such a nicer experience for me! its more entertaining. thank you for that!
If you build this on bedrock, I'd consider getting each individual villager their jobs one at a time as you move them in (if you want an organized layout). Villagers need to be linked to beds in order to take a job in bedrock, and if you move all of them in before placing any beds/job blocks they will all link to random things and it's a pain running around trying to find which ones are linking when you place them. The build itself is super cool though and I'm excited to see it in action once I figure out the linking stuff!
There's a RU-vidr named Spudetti who did an underground trading hall and she uses rails to put them where they need to go, super handy idea no matter the build so maybe go find that!
[Bedrock player] From my experience in making last trading hall. I found that zombies sometimes get stuck in the tunnel behind the hall and they don't attack villagers even if you get out of it's sight. So what you can do to fix that is make the tunnel 1 extra block wide, that way zombie can move freely.
@@hughg.rection8567 Yes, It'll be the same bcz the design of tunnel and villager cells is the same. You can check by building just a tunnel and by placing all villagers in particular cells in a creative world first.
I love this build and you made a great tutorial! I added chiseled bookshelves to the ends of the walls on the first floor for all the book trades rather than the upside down stairs.
Very nice build and villager trading hub. First video of yours I've seen but have now subscribed. Also, this looks as if it took a lot of time to plan, build, test, rebuild while filming and narrating, redoing any errors, editing, proof viewing and then finally uploading....that is a lot of time and effort my guy! Well done and I hope this video gets the views it deserves
This makes me want to make a creative world based on my stories, I feel like a hall like this would look awesome in an elven city! Thank you for all the awesome tutorials you make, I appreciate them so much!
Beautiful build! One thing-as of 1.20 villagers only give discounts after being cured once, they don’t reduce further no matter how many times you zombify and cure them after that.
It’s 1.20.1 or 1.20.4 that the feature was added in as an experimental feature. I know that it still works in 1.20 because I was able to make an OP villager hall on 1.20 with no cure cap 😁 Also I’m on Java if that makes a difference
@@nightcrawler01 No they fixed it already. You can still get the price reduced but only once. It was a bug where it kept repeating. They fixed it in 1.20.1 I think
I'm 44 and love your builds Marloe. Problem I'm having with this one that villagers die in most cases after zombie attack..and also zombie doesn't want to move to villager positioned down and gets stuck in one place. THANX, Great work.
I know so far that game difficulty has to by on HARD and villager won't die, and if zombie gets stuck by one of your villagers, you just need to let zombie to convert that villager into zombie villager and he will move onto next one@@amiliabas3016
I doubt you'll see this but I think your channel is SUPER underrated. Your build videos are very creative without being over the top/ridiculous when it comes to scale or details, and you offer great commentary and tutorials that inspire others to try out similar builds in their own worlds. I don't know if RU-vid is something you're doing for fun or if you're trying to make it a career, but regardless I wish you the best and hope your channel grows so much
Thank you so much Marloe! i really needed this ultimate villager trading hall, it helped me :) also, i needed to enchant my pickaxe, really needed efficiency 5😂 Thanks! Edit 1:REALLY! 1 HOUR!!!
When you lower the villagers to be zombified what is to stop them from walking around the tunnel at the back once you've removed the dirt blocks? Great build btw
@ItsMarloe With your material list, how it says 5 stacks + 31 dark oak trap doors, are you saying 5 stacks of 64 trapdoors and further 31 trapdoors on top of that? Because I’m just trying to get materials first before I actually build it!
Love the video man. Question- I wanted to get creative with the middle of the hall and not have the tall bookshelves. Would having the trapdoors in front of the villagers flipped down be effective in blocking the zombie villagers sight line?
This has been the most frustrating thing I’ve experienced in mc. First of all it took me a month to build this thing then my villagers weren’t taking jobs then my zombies despawned and then my zombie killed 2 of my villagers so I placed a bed down to prepare for my new ones and then all my villagers switched jobs so now I have to remove the workstations and kill them all and start over. I can’t wait to be done with this and get all the emeralds and exp😭 love the build tho I’ll be very proud of myself once it’s working properly
What do you exactly mean with 6 stacks + 23 Spruce planks and all the other stuff? Where is the +23 for? +23 Stacks? +23 Blocks? Can somebody explain were the ''+'' are for?
Quick question, I'm on 1.20.4 survival server and i'm just wondering if I tried this, will the villager like not die when trying to turn it to a zombie villager?
Thankyou for taking it at a slow pace and explaining exactly what we need to do in detail, often with a lot of youtube build tutorials it can get really confusing with certain camera angles and no explanation about what to do, im one of those people that needs my hand holding when replicating builds lol so this is a perfect tutorial tysm!
I like that this build could be used with different wood types for different biomes, i think im going to make a couple. But im frustrated because it doesnt seem very accessible for survival. I can tell this is going to be a real pain in the butt to translate but… worth it? I hope. 😅
Great video. I 1st started watching you play tektopia. Have you considered playing thd minecolonies mod? It feels like the spiritual successor to tangos idea of better villagers.
Hello! Great build I built one successfully in my survival server..but there's an issue the zombie isn't CONVERTING my villagers but instead is directly KILLING them please tell me a solution to this. ❤😢
Anyone on bedrock can help me? zombie won´t attack villagers, it locks on me or one villager nearby :( also cant drop a sword and a helmet to the zombie.
One of my villagers just died from this. I assume they can’t be splashed with weakness before they get hit with a zombie? I splash someone that was next to him and I think he also got the effect so when I put him down in the zombie died not just turn into a zombie… any ideas?
Yep they need to be a zombie first before you splash them! What I do is get the zombie to convert multiple of the villagers into zombie villagers then cure them all at once :)
They do take the jobs I'm bedrock and I've built it I hid beds for. them to link to under the floor covered by a half slab and I have had no issues with it
I am not able to get more than one discount. I've healed a villager 3 times now but ended up every time with the exact same rates. Does anybody know what could be the reason?
@@ItsMarloe no i am a java player and thats not what it is i have been searching for an answer for 15 minutes now. your pillars at the beggining at the vid is spruce logs and i am suprised u did not reilse it i dont wanna do it wrong so am i suppose to use dark oak or spruce
@@ataakarsu4403 yeah he definetly doesnt know what hes talking about, at the beggining he used spruce for the pillars and he said to use dark oak. These 2 wood types differ significantly. I am surprised that someone whos been making minecraft videos for the last 6 years doesnt know the difference between dark oak and spruce lol
