@@Aldueja Thats true. The Quest has become a huge platform, and the Quest 2 sold roughly as many units as the Xbox Series X/S. They could be banking some money if they launched Minecraft for the Quest.
@@jcionx They would not add java 100%. For QuestCraft to work they had to do many hacks to get it running in a JVM on the Quest. The project to run java mc on android has been running for years if not almost a decade and what you're seeing is the result of said work. (Boardwalk -> PojavLauncher -> QuestCraft)
Same. I was distracted for the first, like, 10 to 15 seconds of the video trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Like, my brain just knew something was wrong, but it couldn't put my finger on it.
I highly recamened the ImmersiveMC mod with Questcraft as it makes a lot of the menus VR friendly and allows things like placing blocks with your hand and picking up items from far away like HLA
update regarding what we thought was a trash collector issue, from Judge in #dev-logs: "Not exactly a dev-log (ish), but I am working on fixing the stuttering. We have deduced that it is NOT the garbage collector, but rather a non-fatal segfault in the JVM that triggers the lag. Working on a fix now."
Many login issues can be explained by this: ”There is an outage currenty going on which affects the xbox servers and in turn, the Minecraft licensing/auth servers. This means it's possible you may be unable to change your name, your skin, or be able to play Minecraft at all, regardless of your launcher. Your purchase is not at risk however and if the game shows as unowned, this should be resolved when the outage is resolved.”
This version definitely has the best performance Ive seen of standalone MC yet. It makes it alot more immersive than the previous ones. Too bad they still didnt get rid of the stutters that happen every 10 seconds or so (on quest 2)
I’ve only ever had about 5 minutes in this game and it has never worked since. Devs seem like they abandoned it. They never answered any questions about the 3 dots constantly appearing
Apparently if you have LOGIN ISSUES LIKE EVERYTIME IVE TRIED QUESTCRAFT, the fix this time is making your sidequest account info the same as your Microsoft/Minecraft one, the issue for me rn is that they dont send the verification email so it's actually impossible rn.
Before signing in on the game, hit that settings button on the big screen, UNCHECK THE BLANK SETTING!!! Leaving it checked is somehow what caused my issues.
@@TEETHHHHH this is complete misinformation, the blank toggle is "DEV MODS" and it only applies after the user has logged in, plus you're not supposed to touch it so it might crash your game. furthermore, sidequest has no affiliation with microsoft and have entirely separate account systems.
You need to lower all the settings and if you have a PC download some performance mods, he did a video a while ago on what to download you should check it out. After a hour of work it plays smoothly on my quest 2.
Upon launching minecraft on the quest 2, you may notice the main menu is far from your view. You can still enter worlds despite not being able to read much. Once your in a world, in the vr options screen find the option that lets you recenter your view in standing mode and the issue is fixed. After finding the option you may be able to find it when in the main menu from afar even though you cant read
great video, very nice young man, at 2:26 you point to the top right corner and say the video is right here, but I don't think you actually added the link or notation or whatever
I love this game but I'm having a bit of trouble getting multiplayer to work since I don't have a windows. 11 PC or an Xbox for it to be working on. However, I do have a Microsoft account. And it works all the same because I bought to the Deluxe game version, but now, how do I play multi player? Do you have any ideas?

i keep getting crashing when i put in the link code. crashes back out to main home. ive un installed and reinstalled. sidequest is up to date and my Q2 is up to date.
for some unknown reason my questcraft jitters a lot and I only get up to like 20fps even on low settings with like 12 chunk render distance, should I give it more ram or something ?
@@Thats-cool-man-1877 apparently the fix is making your sidequest email the same as your Microsoft/Minecraft one, the issue is that the verification email never sends, so there's that
I've tried modding on the UI and it just crashed my game... any idea why? Had to reinstall it. What am I supposed to download for better render distance?
Can you experiment with some mods on quest craft? I’m running with a couple that edit the terrain and villages, as well as bushy leaves, and round trees.
*sigh* I'll try again, this will be the third go. Prior I would follow the instructions and run, get the code to log in then it would loop asking for the code and never got in to the game.
Still not working on the Quest 2, I folleer everything it said to do and when I enter the code the game Crash every time, i have all the Minecraft for every system so is there something wrong or is there some way to fix this.
1. have you set a minecraft username? 2. is your microsoft account of age? 3. did you have questcraft prior to the update and just pressed update in sidequest? If yes, then you have to uninstall and then install.

@@Savirtued I actually primarily play Java. But you can't convince me that it runs better than bedrock without mods. Bedrock would clearly be better for something like the Quest

It have worked since a long time, most issues is due to your account not having a username, not being of age for example. And crashes can be due to if you take off your headset when you download the instance, or press play before it is finished. Another issue that can occur is if one or all of your controllers are asleep while you load in. But you can in the discord ask for support in the support channels or create a ticket and we help you resolve your issues.

5:49 For some reason when ever I try to load the game (after pressing “play” on the first screen) It fades to my Home Screen Instead of the Minecraft launcher. Can anyone help? I play quest 2
@@TEETHHHHH it can actually change things Btw. For some it works otherwise I would not give the suggestion. Other things with this issue can be solved by using another device to login on to get the code
Before signing in on the game, hit that settings button on the big screen, UNCHECK THE BLANK SETTING!!! Leaving it checked is somehow what caused my issues.
Yeah this is not possible yet! (At least for me and A TON of people) Cannot login, apparently you need the sidequest login to be the same as your Microsoft login (it is for me) Apparently you also need to own the game (i do) and the way i played QC back then was using gamepass because java is included if you have gamepass, but its still not working Basically, you cant login, because when you do, it crashes, ive tried everything, I'll most likely wait another year if i cant fix it
So ive enabled developer mode, and installed questcraft exactly how you did it in the video but it doesnt not show up under unknown sources and i cant find it anywhere else on my quest 2
I’m not sure if anyone else is still experiencing this issue, but whenever I enter the code and it says I can close the window, the app crashes and doesn’t let me sign in. I’ve tried: reinstalling Updating Unchecking the blank setting Changing my username in Java Nothing seems to work.

Im glad they fixed Questcraft but it still doesn't work on the quest 2. Great video very helpful. I might have to buy the quest 3 to play minecraft now
Except in order to enable developer mode, you need to provide a whole bunch of private information to Meta to sign up as a "developer", only after that will they enable developer mode options.
Is there a way you can make it so that you always have to physically hit the blocks to break them 7:29 or attack mobs? Would love to get this game on my vr for my daughter to play and it could be cool if she got some exercise in while she played the game she loves the most. Wouldnt want her to get around the fact that she actually has to swing at objets to interact with them.
hey if anyone can help me with this I would be so happy I tried to load up quest craft which I already had before this video it looked the same and I didn't know how to update quest craft to the newest version
In my opinion, Microsoft should release Minecraft officially on the Quest platforms. BUT that’s DEFINITELY NOT happening knowing that mojang developers are well… mojang developers who release one update per year with little new content…
my quest 3 doesn't run steam link very well tried setting open xr runtime to steam vr still doesn't work very well it did for like a couple minutes but still having screen tears, and lag like crazy I have a very strong wifi connection and I use a gasming laptop for it

Bedrock would run sooo much better, too bad oculus and Microsoft won't make an official port. Quest craft runs fine ig but it stutters like crazy on the q3
Very nice game! i realy want to play it, but i have an problem, each time i clikc play it just kicks me out the game without teleporting me to the game iself do you know how i fix this maybye?
I don’t know why they just don’t port Minecraft gear vr like they have done with other gear vr apps. It was literally a perfect port of the game on gear vr back then
Ok so i downloaded on the quest 3 but when it says sign in. And to put the verification code on the microsoft website. It closes after a second or two.. anyone know why
Just tested it, ended up playing until my battery died and made a survival world i actually care about lol, i can definitely say this is the best its ever been. The ONLY issues is that weird tiny stutter every few seconds, the render distance, and also no smooth turning (that I could find). Other then those issues, its basically perfect. The lighting is how it is in the base game now, the way you interact with everything is better, the overall feel of everything is better, its simply just better. I am on quest 3 though so it may explain why i had a great time, i imagine quest 2 players have it slightly worse sadly. But if you're on quest 3, this is an absolute must play. Edit: nope! Nevermind! I recommend waiting for the next update next year. Apparently you have to re-sign in EVERY TIME YOU START THE GAME and now my sign in solution isn't working anymore. Screw this game.
Wonder what the problem is as mine worked fine. I played it once when it originally launched 2 weeks ago & hadn't touched it since until now, and while I did get the loggin prompt, it still remembered my previous details and auto-logged me in a sec after prompting me to do the Microsoft account stuff. Though it may indeed be best to wait as one dev mentioned possibly working on a fix for the lag spikes.
@@TEETHHHHH Actually I was mistaken since the QuestCraft server posted how there are many people having that problem tho that it's a Microsoft issue apposed to it being a questcraft specific issue.
The big downside for me (on Q2) is the render distance that’s why I don’t play Quest Qraft so that’s why I will play vive craft (pls @TheMysticle make a Tutorial for pcvr) because I hate the feeling of playing Minecraft like being in a tiny Snow globe.
makes sense if you can play on a pc you should. But playing on a server on questcraft can make it so you can increase the renderdistance I think. Anyway, qc is more for those that can't play minecraft on a pc in vr
