Minelab equinox 600 - metal detecting review - metal detecting UK 

You, my good man, have just gained yourself another subscriber! You had me when you said that there's people out there who go really in depth into the settings and it just goes right over your head because you're by no means an expert! I haven't even tried metal detecting yet! So I'm not even a beginner. I am actually a wheelchair user, so I don't even know if I can do it till I have a go!

Thanks for your informative video 😊 I've been in the hobby for a year now and have the 600 and do use it out of the box. I've been out on a club dig today in Surrey for six hours and in general I dig everything but all I've got is crud so I've started ignoring what I consider to be rubbishy signals. On recent digs in both Kent and Shropshire I've dug everything and also ended up with crud. I'm starting to think that detecting is a good walk spoilt. Best wishes to you 😊

I'm surprised that you say to dig if you only get a strong signal in one direction; I was told that if, in turning through 90°, the signal is weak or crappy to leave it as it'll be junk? I also find that readings at 30 tend to be aluminium/drink cans. Thanks for sharing your info 😊

Hi Ross... I saw your video a few years ago on the Garrett 300i. I too have a G300i and am considering an Equinox600 as the next step. Even though i've had many happy hours, and found some interesting finds with the 300i, I'm sure i have missed some good targets also, as per your demonstration a few years ago. So, I feel it's now time to upgrade. A few questions about how it compares to the 300i ? - The 300i doesn't really discriminate big iron from more non ferrous good targets, so i ended up digging up horse shoe after horse shoe in one particular field. Does the Equinox do a better job ? - Is the Equinox better at avoiding or discriminating against ringpulls, drinks cans etc on park/beach type land... ? - Anything else that you would say is a big advantage of the Equinox600 over the 300i ? Thankyou muchly!

Hi thanks for the video, was going to purchase the Garrett sea hunter mk2 until is saw-these videos of the Equinox 600. I think I can have the beer off both worlds how in sea and fields, would love your view on the sea hunter and am I making the right decision. The equinox 600 see the best choice to me. Thanks

What would a neat new second hand one of these Milnelans Equinox 600 be worth to buy roughly please? I’m hoping to use it on a beach. I don’t want to overpay is all.
