@@tralala80 Ok, maybe it is worth doing a small test outside with the sensitivity set at at least 20 or thereabouts. Not sure about you, but I am searching normally with the sensitivity a 18 - 23. A lot of times above 20 unless the ground is highly mineralised. Would be interesting to see any differences.
@@threehumpscreatives Usually I work with sensitivity 25, with reactivity 1 and iron bias 0 and by the ground tests the difference is the same, the bigger coil has approx. 8-10% better depth
@@tralala80 Ok, thanks for that extra info. So that extra 8-10 % plus the extra ground coverage of the 15" coil, make it a worthwhile addition to the Equinox over the the 11" coil in your eyes?
Dang , that makes me want to hunt all the spots I've found charms and pendants. I'm sure I missed alot of gold chains. I've found chains with my ctx but always silver. I can't remember other than with my Garrett at gold ever finding a gold chain . I know in a year with my CTX I dont think I've ever found a gold chain . Interesting. Thanks for the example . Big Mex

Did you made the test with the same settings? 20 inch distance for golden ring is great result for the air test with sensitivity 15. When you are outside the sensitivity must be between 20-23 (depending on the ground).
Hello, I use the Minelab PRO-SWING 45 harness, with it is easier to work many hours. Usually I work on the beach, I have tried the reactivity 1, the depth is smaller, if there are to much iron trash on the beach i use reactivity 3.

Air testing FBS machines is pointless outside of maybe getting some idea as to how a target of choice may read or sound but even then it is a roll of the dice as there are numerous factors that can alter your results from the air test once in the soil such as mineralization, etc.
