Grass metal detecting with the Minelab Equinox 800 and showing all the target ID's before revealing the items unearthed! Found my first Silver of 2024 and much more!

I am glad somebody is! But we know with you. You always come out good! I went New Year’s Day and was hoping to find a ring and some jewelry. I came home with three kids bracelets that are the beads and a rubber ring.

Got some goodies in 4khz. NICE!! What a way to start the yr off with 3 rings and a dollar coin. I will guess the Little Charm Person is a marching band color guard.. Happy New Year.. Peace

I just got the Equinox update for the 600 and it's even harder for me to understand but also I have only used it for about an hour and then I'm still so use to the 99 scale of numbers and the X-Terra Pro and it is nice to see the 800 again....

I have the same issue regarding the numbers when I don't use one of the detectors for a while... I wish they all worked the same as far as numbers. Practice and even try doing a finds test. I take some items including gold out and test it. It can be helpful but one thing I learned was gold is tricky... depending on many factors gold can ring in at so many different numbers and sounds. As a non-hunter it never occured to me that the shape and angle of the object in the ground would change the readings you may get on the detector. Great ring find!

Yes... many factors. Also the ground material and condition play a roll. A good reason why I try and dig every target. I think someone might need to take up the hobby...lol.
