The first day out trying and testing this Go-find 40 on salt water beach resulted in some pleasant surprises. Pre decimal coins a vintage/antique white gold ring and some ww2 relics.
Went on a ring recovery the other day. I had my CTX and gave the ring owner my Go Find 20 to use so he wouldn't follow me around. I turned it on for him and told him how to swing it. 30 seconds later he shouts "RING!" It was not the ring he lost but another one possibly silver. Unreal.
Thanks for showing this field trial vid! I love going to the beach, but laying about bores me to tears and I burn to crisp if I go swimming in the ocean. So, I just got a Go-find. It seemed to be a cool 'assault detector' I can easily schlep to the beach on outings. I very much appreciated how your mate was asking to see how things were showing up. Thanks!
True. These guys are the real deal. Im getting a little annoyed with the guys finding multiple huge gold targets in a single hunt. These videos must be financed by MD manufacturers. No way they are real.
Great video on the gofind40 , so how does it do in black sand or heavy mineralized saltwater beaches. I also want to try it out on this part of the world, lots of people ask me for advice on inexpensive detectors, and even though i hav not tried it this is the baby i recomend. Thanks for the video and look forward to your next episode. Regards. Gl and hh.
I forgot to mention with it's basic setup it is light as a feather making it easy to swing. I have not yet modified mine to use a larger coil such as the NEL Hunter. It will swing a little heavier then, but I think it would still swing easier than my AT-PRO. So it is easy to swing which makes it good for larger areas up to the point where you tire yourself out. You really need to use your machine and how to swing it or you will miss lot's of targets! The Barnes Brothers are some of the best beach hunters on you tube!
These detectors are OK but not great. The next model above this one has a vdi ( number readout on the screen). If i was going to buy this detector again I would buy the model with the readout. You get a lot more information from the machine. To be honest I had mine (bought as a backup or backpack detector) a couple days and returned it. Wasn't happy with it but it could be just what someone is looking for. If you want something that isn't too involved, you can turn these on and start detecting. Not to high of a learning curve. Currently run a Minelab Equinox and Nokta Simplex.
I have a fair few top line detectors, I picked up the go find 60, brand new for next to nothing, primarily for its portability. Turns out it's not lacking in the usability dept, and with the app you get extra features such as a map view, coin id'er etc. It's not something that you would use on a regular basis, more of a holiday detector, or perhaps when you need to hike a long way to a location and need than handy size. As with other detectors around this price bracket, it will detect deep, but relay that ID as iron, if in doubt, dig everything. it is what it is...Keep fit and find!
don't know if someone already told you or not, but i am fairly certain the bottle you found is a type of medicine bottle usually used to house veterinarian type drugs.
How often do you go back to place that you have detected excluding times after storms etc, just say a local beach. I have a go find 60 and a Garrett ace 250 and contemplating going to a Garrett AT pro. Would the pro find more in the places I have been like some of the beaches. Thanks for your help
Hi mate I’m 15 and a Bribie Island Local, I just brought the mine lab go find 20, I don’t suppose that maybe I could tag along and get some tips and handy pointers off you more experienced blokes could I?
127BobbyRay was learning the detector. And also showing other people that watch, the Sounds, and how to pin point, without a pointer. Thanks for watching ☺
What a great video! Thank you for uploading this - I’ve just now ordered this machine (22) from Anaconda. We have a lot of random stuff pre-1920s erupting in our property after the rains. Nothing valuable but exciting! Most interesting was a Mizpah necklace. Can’t wait to try it out!
okay i bought a mine lab go find and i have a problem. im picking up a high signal and set to filter out iron. only im getting nothing but iron scrap coming up. Large pieces at that too. what am i doing wrong? Its clay soil and most finds are 12 to 14 inches down.
Brian Clugston try finding a new spot. sounds like a bad trashy area. once you got the detector worked out, you may be able to sweep the coil around the target as you walk around it in a 360 motion. Will help you not get them large trashy alloy targets. honestly some areas are bad trash dump areas
Lol...I did some research and my house was the only house in the area in the 30s and then in the 50s started new buildings. I just started two days ago and have pulled up a dime a copper penny a couple zinc pennies and about 30 lbs of spikes nails.tractor parts etc. I was hoping someone would confirm my suspicions about the signals overlapping. Thanks.
Only issue I ever had with I, was I wanted to extend it out a bit further, and I pulled in inner shaft out from the outer one, only took 5 mins to work out how to pop it back in though. at first I though it was a little weak especially around the elbow rest, but its sill going strong for me and my daughter. pin pointers are great for all conditions, just set the sens according to the ground your working, so it doesn't pop off all the time. P.S this is my daughters al round detector, because it is light and very easy for her to use, and actually find deep enough targets, she needs my help in digging
+Darren Barnes thanks mate, very much appreciated. Tonight I'm going to start stalking EvilBuy 😆 (a little work joke, you look for one thing and up buying 2 of something else ). Sounds like it would suit my you bloke to a Tee. Darren were you using a Minelab pinpointer?
Hi mate, thanks for the great video! Do you still use Go find ? I am thinking of buying one from anaconda store. I know it is bit toy like construction but love the compactness of it. What is your opinion? Thanks
Yeah ive used it 6 odd times since on the beach, after doing this video. But i use it to teach my little one how to swing it in high target areas, as its not heavy for her to learn on, i hope this helps your question
Hello Thanks Darren! I bought it even some says it is not so good one....I love the compact folding design! I found 5 cent so far on the beach. No Rolex or gold ring yet. It is difficult to judge as that identification is not accurate. Thanks for your reply!
I just bought one of those in a couple of days I'll have, I live in Cancun and is mainly beach so I hope work thanks for your help continues to rise more videos
Go slow turn sens down a bit if it giving you false signals, find a good spot, that's low around rocky areas on a beach if your doing beaches. and take some test coins and a gold and silver ring to bury in your spot your hunting to do tests on depth target id so you know what a real signal sounds like, best of luck and happy hunting mate
It was at the time, because i was going through a bad back ruptured disc, and it was the only detector i could possibly swing, due to injury and being not even 2 days off from crutches thankyou for watching
