Great video Woody , had found the problem with the coil cords when I first got mine. Found the best way is band them tight from the bottom to the top . Sometimes if you bump against shrubs or sticks with coil still get the interference now and then.
If we peek under the display would we see an ARM chip under the hood! (probably so!). (I don't know). I read where an engineer in Arizona concieved of the design and then partnered with ARM Holdings in London. Once AI is utilized in detectordom... (Primarily Fuzzy Logic) well, these metal detectors will not only find gold like nobodies business... they will probably also be able to mow the lawn! While we are learning how to use our new metal detector... it will be learning along side us learning to accept and reject targets and also letting us know that the target is iffy enough that it needs to be dug up to see what it is. Gone will be the days of the VDI jumping around all over the place like a scalded ape. We will get better target seperation and then all we we will need to do is let the computer know it missed on the target and it will learn from its mistake. I'm not sure about the pulse induction machines, but the simultaneous multi-frequency VLF's are are gona be beyond belief in their abilities once Fuzzy Logic is utilized.
The small switch on PC board resets it. There is some info about the switch online but I can't recall where. I had a low volume issue with my GM 1000, at first I thought it was a bad speaker or connection. I found on the Web about the reset button. Did it and full volume was restored and everything was good as new.
That was a very enjoyable to watch. I hope there is a follow up video! Tks! You mention that the board might be prepared for a future upgrade. There is a data port on the back, possibly for internet software updates. The detector that you are examining, what year was the board and/or detector manufactured? Tks!
@@DetectorMods 6 year old board. I read that Minelab doesn't have plans today to upgrade the Gold Monster 1000. I hope someday you get to tear down a Manticore. Tks!
Interesting i brought a goldfinder vlf from the copy cats went to a patch in low mineral ground which i got 20 grams in the last few weeks and gave it a go no gold found went back with a mates goldmonster no gold found lol the two detectors where about the same the monster was a little better in the hot ground the quality of the minelab far exceeds the cheaper goldfinder circuit components , the gpx4500 running the elite 14 inch cleaned it out my goldfinder picks up those little nuggets along with the monster at 4 inches no problem as the gpx4500 but the gpx just handles the ground so much better as soon as i went off the pipe clay into hot ground both vlf detectors drove me nuts ,went back with a joey coil on the gpx 4500 no gold found just goes to show the gpx4500 with the 14 inch coil does a great job .gold found on patch pipe clay wash left over as the miners could not put this into their boxes as it takes gold out nuggets were 10 x .2 1x1.5 grams 1.x .9 2 x .05 crumbs all at 2 to 12 inches including a big 18.5 bit after acid 16.4 grams at 12 to 15 inches down running in enhance .i counted 20 old detector holes from years gone by in the spot .
The Gpx 4500 is one hell of a beast running 46 times gain compared to later ones and the Gpx5000 running 32 times gain, vlf has its place but not on our hot ground, i would use the vlf at Creswick or directly on mullock heaps.
@@DetectorMods je me débrouille en réparation mais dans ma zone c'est gold monsters qui marche beaucoup avez-vous une idée de la pièce qui fait que souvent la machine refuse la tête ou souvent quand l 'or marque le fer et le fer marque l'or
