Hello, in Turkey, they make big kite hoods for minelab detectors and attach them to them. Do you think this is suitable? Can metal be searched with a big hood?
I have a basically brand new GP Extreme and a 10 x 18 nugget finder. Also the classic trashcan lid 18 incher. It has been run only a few hours. should I get after it or have it modified???
I get excited when I reconnoiter a spot and only see surface scratches. The weekenders can have all the specks and shotgun pellets👍 when I see carefully backfilled holes concealing the depth of the dig I start to worry.
Gday Woodie, why is it that the window for deep big gold is nearly closed for 6000s .The spectrum one might say is programmed to the board to discover fly crap first perhaps,only guessing mate .what are your thoughts about this scenario. Cheers Greg
Most newer detectors are made to keep the prospector happy, 0.01 gram of Gold per day keeps a smile on ones face, one 2Kg nugget once a year is a hard sell, but you only need one large lump to make it all worthwhile.
What about Coiltek 40x20 Drag Coils Woody? I tried pairing it with a modded 3500 and couldn’t get it to hear it very well at all, not sure if it was one of your modded detectors. Not sure if the coil is dodgy, could only hear a number 5 snapper sinker from 100mm cheers cobber
