Best test yet. Obviously we would all like to see the same test with different sized nuggets. Field results from forum posts indicate the GPX 6000 will find sub-grammars that the GPZ 7000 misses. This has been particularly well commented on at Rye Patch, Nevada and other US locations. I would like to see if your test confirms these impressions from the field.

Hi Randy, what would be cool is to do another test with sub grammers and see how small the gpz 7000 stops at comppared with the GPX 6000. In our experience the 6000 is capable of finding some really small peices that you would walk over with the 7000

Hi good comparison. It would have been good to see how the sdc would have gone set on 5. Also good to see with the different coils and settings on all machines

Thank you for a very good comparison test; I agree with Laurie’s suggestion to add the GPX 5000 17” and the GPZ19 coils into the tests.

very interesting would like to see the GPX5000 with the 17x13inch coil and 19inch coil in this same test. I reckon it would come up well.

I just bought the GPX 6000 and took it out this last week. I also bought the 17" elliptical coil with the machine. I was very impressed with how easy the machine was to use.The one of biggest advantage I saw was no cables, not being attached to the detector, it is huge when hunting in thick brush.As far as performance I was impressed with the machine, especially on smaller targets, sub gram. The deepest target I dug was at least 12" Unfortunately it was lead, but came up very nice on the machine. I did find a 1.5 gram but was a easy target,nice piece of gold.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @Cagold49. Those were excellent observations you got there. Glad you were able to get a nugget. :) Keep up the good work.

Need to noise cancel often with the 6000, ground balance won't help with emi. That wind had a big affect on the 6000
@CompleteProspecting
@CompleteProspecting 2 года назад
Thanks Shane, yep the 6000 does need to noise cancel often we did it muliple times though out the test as it is a ver noisy machine

Comparing one Mine Lab product with another dosnt tell us much ( I first used a metal derector in 1979) I have $300 Garrett that will find a wedding ring buried on a 2 foot string, I'd like to compare the 2 machines and try to justify the enormous price difference.
@Jessgo33-
@Jessgo33- 2 года назад
Your Garrett won’t touch a Minelab. Iron will be deeper than precious metal.
@stanbattle7436

@@Jessgo33- Yep I know that but you just paid out $10k for pretty much the same machine and we both find gold. Difference is I have got $9,700 in my pocket and I pissed MineLab off :-)

Great tests,, Only one complaint,, I guess you've made this for separate videos for each machine. If you do this type of thing again, maybe edit it so everything is NOT repeated so many times.

Why didn't you try out the manual settings on the 6000
@danielstrickland1005

Was a Good Demo of Mine Labs. Lets me know I might never be able to ever afford one. Although Garret did purchase White's Detectors and Knowledge, Making the Gold Master once again, and they claim to have the "Best" Tech in P.I.s. I would Love to see the comparison to Mine Labs and others. VLFs, will they detect as deep? Gold Monster is great, but does not detect deep enough, and these machines did not detect deep enough to wrangle me out of my Dollars. Honestly, I expected far more performance out of M.L.
@CompleteProspecting
@CompleteProspecting 2 года назад
Thanks for that, Daniel. That is actually a good suggestion. We'd consider doing a review and a comparison between two equipment. Thanks so much for the idea!

No idea how to ground balance the GPZ7000.. Next time read the manual... Just waiving the coil over the ferrite is exactly the wrong way to do it and is why you lost depth on the other settings

What setting did you have the sensitivity at? I am assuming it was full on in manual with the noise it was making.
@CompleteProspecting
@CompleteProspecting 2 года назад
The threshold and sensitivity were not adjusted. We set up the detector with the quickstart process that Minelab recommends. Here is a video on how to get started: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lyg3a9_DhMM.html

Yes we plan to do another video like this with the other coils for the other machines, appreciate the feedback
