This module is based on a concept presented by Tom Oberheim in an AES paper on Ring Modulators back in the early 70s. It is built around a diode ring but uses transistors for the phase differencing rather than transformers. There are pots for the inputs and for balancing the phase difference, or not. Certainly a unusual feature, not seen on other ring Mods. I guess it is far from a perfect Ring Modulator but it has it's own character and is capable of quite sublime sounds, not that you will hear any in my demo. Super simple circuit, common components, a perfect beginners module for starting on smd.
