You thought you could trust Khoa to look for him, he did go look for him, and had he told you about what Minh relatives told him, I think you would feel a little different, but he didn't tell you anything because he saw an opportunity to go for you because he thought you were so lonely and vulnerable that you would fall for him, you stayed strong through the whole thing and never let in to Khoa, he was always around and chasing you, he even stop bringing his son around because he wanted to be with you alone.
