Locarno ist ein italienischsprachiger Urlaubsort im Süden der Schweiz. Er liegt am Lago Maggiore am Fuße der Alpen und ist für sein sonniges Klima bekannt. In der Altstadt befindet sich das im 12. Jahrhundert gegründete Castello Visconteo mit dem Museo Civico, einem stadtgeschichtlichen Museum mit Fundstücken aus der Römerzeit. Die im 15. Jahrhundert erbaute Wallfahrtskirche der Madonna del Sasso ist eine Pilgerstätte mit zahlreichen Kunstwerken. Sie liegt oberhalb der Stadt und ist per Standseilbahn erreichbar.
Locarno is an Italian-speaking holiday resort in the south of Switzerland. It is located on Lake Maggiore at the foot of the Alps and is known for its sunny climate. In the old town is the Castello Visconteo, founded in the 12th century, with the Museo Civico, a town history museum with finds from Roman times. The pilgrimage church of the Madonna del Sasso, built in the 15th century, is a place of pilgrimage with numerous works of art. It is located above the town and can be reached by funicular.

Hodočasnička crkva Madonna del Sasso, izgrađena u 15. stoljeću, mjesto je hodočašća s brojnim umjetninama. Nalazi se iznad grada i do njega se može doći uspinjačom.
