This is so awesome. Thanks for everything. I’ll do just that when I save up my money on one of those mini cooper models with Bluetooth. My 2012 mini cooper doesn’t have Bluetooth!

So I have a 2007 mini cooper s it has the tele and chat button on the steering wheel and the tele button on the receiver, In the menu it doesn’t display the tele How do you turn on Bluetooth

In have the same model of the radio in my Mini. Can't connect to my Samsung Galaxy. Tried many times, only once saw MiniNumber on my phone and after entering a passkey it disappeared. Nothing else works, resetting trying switching on an off in different moments to make both devices to see each other....🔨

I have the same model of radio in my Mini. It used to be connected with a phone, I unpaired someone's phone when I bought the car but now, when I try to connect my android, my phone sees something with a name that looks like this "Y7:76:GI:" etc and says the device will get its name once paired. But can't pair it. Any suggestions?

Great question! I have a 2013 Hatcback. I paired my phone but can’t stream music... it seems like the BT function is only to make calls... right?

It won't stream music. I've been using the aux in.

For anyone reading this, you could get something like the Fiio BTR3. There are cheaper brands too, but I personally got a used Ffio BTR3. It plugs into the AUX and USB ports at the very bottom (near your cup holders), and lets you easily pair up to 3 phones to it via Bluetooth. Then in the car you select AUX to stream your music over bluetooth :) The Ffio BTR3 automatically uses the ideal Bluetooth codec for your phone. Some cheaper options may use an ancient codec that doesn't sound good, so if you want something cheaper, do watch out for that.

I forgot to mention, but you can even skip tracks and such using the car's controls with the BTR3. It also lets you use a high quality equalizer if that's something you appreciate, and it has various other creature comfort features.

I used to have my Android phone paired to my R59. I have an iPhone now and I no longer have the phone button on the settings. Do I have to code this car?

Doesn't work at all with iPhone 15 Pro. I gave up and bought a Bluetooth to USB adapter, powered that from a phone charger. Also bought a short extension cable. Now I can use Waze and music apps in the Roadster. Still can't talk on the phone, don't really care about that.
