my main view is that my OCD is going haywire with how things arent grouped together....as you have many suplicates, and a lot are keychain based, perhaps a sperate smaller belt/keychain kit thats seperate to this chest rig kit....
Nice bag, but you are missing a container. Consider a (Boundless Voyage or Tomshoo) titanium lunchbox with a folding handle. These come in stainless steel (sometimes called a bento box), but lots of stuff pops up when you google stainless steel lunchbox. Also need to pair this with a collapsible water bottle with some water disinfection tablets. Maybe add an Emberlit fireant titanium wood stove. Not sure if I saw one, but a bandanna is useful too.
The water tabs were near the end and had some water bags in there. I think I have the elephant container? I did a vid on it. If I take it all out and redo it I’ll see if I can add one in 👍🏼
Prepper in the woods - Not a bad kit, however in the spirit of improvement I have some creative criticism. How useful is a compass hanging off a steel key ring and carabiner? 3 signal mirrors and a mirror? Why have a 2 ferro rods and separate from the fire kit? I understand the principle of having back up and reserves, but if they are all in the same bag then they can all be lost at the same time, and then you have nothing. Organizing when you have time, makes things a lot easier when you don't. Consolidate all your fishing and trapping gear into one kit rather than spread about the pouch.
Love to see someone actually carry these bags over long distance and try and use the items and not just pack bags to collect kit in their homes. It would be funny watching urbanites trying to survive for a few days with just this kit especially trying to catch food with snares and crappy fishing kits. Take it from someone who has done this all over the world, its not easy and most people will either starve or freeze to death
It’s only a chest rig bag. It’s like an add on or an emergency bag for your car. Never said this is all you need to survive. Every kit will be different from person to person, skill set to skill set etc. For where I live this would be fine. But like I said make the bag to what you need. Just ideas etc
No disrespect meant here at all. You say it's a grab bag. Like sooo many others, all you've managed to do is ram pack a bag with 85% of totally unessesary gear. No real thought has gone into it or the regional area that it would be used in. Try this. Take that bag and just wear your normal daily work clothes or day out at the shops clothing ect, then go to where ever you think you might go and use what you have in that bag for say 3 days and nights. At least 85% of the contents of your bag are not needed. I'm afraid to say that what you have put together is a fantasy bag. Like I said, no disrespect meant or me being rude, I just feel if your going to put a grab bag together ( that in all seriousness won't ever be used ) at least construct one and truly test it out so in your own mind you know it will work for you in your region. It's the best way to see what actually you would need . Make up some fantasy situations in you mind. Like it's 22:00 in the evening, your coming back from an evening with friends at a restaurant. Now only wearing what you would be dressed in for an evening out, stop, grab your bag and come back in 3 days. Your soon know what you need and don't need.

@@prepperinthewoods Sorry, the Title to your video is ' Mini Bug out bag ' ?? You refered to it as an "emergency bag that you could just grab and leave". That would be considered and from packing snares and fishing kits a survival bag?? I'm just having a healthy debate with you. You already said to another poster, I don't know how all those mirrors got in there🤦🏻♂️ well you would of put all of them in there!!
@secretstealthcamping5908 yeah not taking this personally. So many pockets I just forgot I had the mirrors already. I used it a few time so i could have packed it away better. Best name for the title I could have thought of at the time. Where are you based?
@@prepperinthewoods personally i use a spreadsheet so o can keep track of number of items, expiry dates ( which i mostly ignore) and how many etc in which bags....
Ok. Thought I heard a bit of both sides of the Atlantic. My first journey into prepping was in 1980 when the soviet union invaded Afghanistan. Had the right idea but little resource. Do you find in the UK prepping is rare and sneared at?
@@airvicemarshalsirgeorgemas2083 can’t have any self defence stuff here. EDC knives are less than 2in and non locking. So I think prepping in the states is better.
