Glad you said your area isn't really for the small stuff, some guys are complaining that the TRXM doesn't do good on the 10th scale course, well it is a 1/18 scale truck..it's not gonna do good on a 10th scale course...great vid.... I been wanting a 10th scale Capra.... probably time to get one ....
I just picked one of these up with the big sale they just had. Coincidentally, Mofo had a sale on all the brass too. Talk about a double bonus! I can't wait to get this thing out, test it, and build it up!
Interesting the TRX M climbed higher on the measured climb but the Capra out crawled it by miles. You can’t compare the 2 Capra is way bigger & more capable even stock.
I was playing with mine on some super grippy rocks today (currently in Arizona) and the servo was having some issues. Since it's a low-profile servo, we're a little limited on choices. I was looking at a Reefs 299. I agree that it's top-heavy... it likes to flip over backwards. I pulled the shock bottom caps like we do on the 1/10 and it helped a little... but like you said, it needs some pen springs in the shocks or something, plus some weight.
It’s not much smaller than the actual Capra.. for kicks a giggles.. pop the doing retailers off the bottom and see if it does better.. definitely should atleast lower it. It cost u nothing just to test. 🤷♂️
I stuck a quick run 16bl30 esc and a holmes hobby revolver 280 2800kv in mine last night and on 3s very peppy better esc and i could see it breaking stuff
250 just isn’t justified with this lil crawler 200 would have been better. It’s just too capable and big for indoor fun and too small for outdoors. It’s too close in 1/10 price range. Only market I see for this is the people that already have and like the big capra. Thanks for sharing joe, that capra isn’t a goat but you are with these rigs and it will still be interesting what you do to it
@@heavymetalrc7520 lol the trx4m and this arent even in the same league. one is to look cool the other is for crawling. also, listen to r/c daily unless you have a large empty basement and tons of material to make a course.
Got 2 for the wife and I. Can't wait for mods and aftermarket parts. Wheels and tires are tough there's so many options. May go smaller shocks. We have 2 1080s if laziness would go away lol. Having 2 to work on is just overwhelming for me. So far I've removed the bushings under the front shocks and did 45wt all around and took off spring retainers to lower it.
I saw people mention how it’s Christmas bait car for parents. See big capras for 500 in hobby shops and here is tiny one for half the price? And it has blinky lights too? Dunno man too toy grade looking. Hope the cage itself isn’t pricey so I can do a custom with fcx or trxm axles Also doesn’t it fit low profile servo only?
Its a hoot in my California water-saving rock garden that usually hosts my 1/10 scalers. Its lights at night are awesome. Overdrive gears & aluminum steering links I've already ordered. I figure a 1231 or 1230 Savox will make it a steering beast when the time comes. Not that it lacks, but I'd like to find some performance BRUSHED motors for it . I DO NOT however wish to overspend and needlessly complicate by going brushless.
