This is a video to go over the options of Repair vs. Replace of your Mini Cooper key FOB remote.
We found the Mini Key Hospital and saved over $100 by repairing our old Key FOB/Remote vs. replacing it with a new dealer provided Key FOB/Remote.
We used the Mini Key Hospital (Dr. Bruce Hart)

How do you know when your key fob is bad? I have a 2011 mini and the fob opens doors, turns on light but wont start the engine....it is completely dead! No crank, no nothing in the engine compartment. Could this be the fob or do you think it's electrical like a "starter relay" or something? Please feel free to comment.

@@skilletrox1 It did end up being the Fob. We bought a new one on ebay and had the dealer program it. Total around $200. But if you already had another fob you should have known it wasn't something inside the hood?

It was Mini of Nashville. That was FOB only, key was another 30ish as I recall.
