I really like it. It’s like a mini cooper pm steroids, but not overdone. For me it’s rellay cool. (In my opinion) and yes, i know u’re bot allowed to have opinions on the internet.
Can someone explain to me: a.) Why this is an ugly car - apart from just saying so, no one can say why. I think they've done a great job of scaling up the signature Mini features to a small crossover-sized car. If the quirks and bubbles and retro styling of the Mini brand is not your thing, then there are many other traditional-looking cars in this segment. b.) Why it is such an issue that it's not small. You can still get a Mini hatchback in 3 door or 5 door, so the small (ish) option is there. But the market clearly wants this size car, hence the great sales numbers of the Countryman. Why do purists insist that it must be tiny? That's like saying all Volvos should be boxy station wagons.
Currently on the market for a family saloon/SUV after years of whizzing round in Coopers and Cooper S. This is on my shortlist but I think this car reflects my life. I used to be cool, fast, hot but now I've a kid, I'm bigger and not near as cool. Might just be the right car for me.
Why do people think mini are only aloud to sell a 3 door car too small for 90% of people...sales figures show what people want whether its a 4series gt over a 3 series, a gla over a a-class its what people want thats why they sell it. Regardless of love/hate of the last countryman unlike the coupe or paceman it did well enough to sell it again
People who complain about such things are car people, which values cars a little more than a fridge or a dishwasher. They are emotionally invested. And most people just care about reliability, style, comfort and fuel economy which is fine.

I rented this mini in Great Britain for three weeks and drove ALL OVER 2700 miles in 3 weeks. it is by far the best car I have ever driven. nothing bad

nosecomosellama well the idea is for British buyers, British plates and British spec cars. Maybe actually find out what carwow do next time before thinking it's just for entertainment.

Just a hire of a Mini Cooper D and was amazed how good and how much fun it is. Really very good and would consider this Countryman as a replacement for my current car when ready.

We have a 20 reg model with the cooper s sport pack on it. We love it, it is ridiculously loud as welll. Got Harmon lardons sound as well. Plus the jcw sport seats which this doesn’t have
Like your videos carwow but can you just take this one advise from me , just 1 .. when you show cars on the iPad it's never ever clear , either scrap that or use something clearer 👍
I love the style of the exterior but I don't like certain things inside of the car like the screen is a rectangle in a circle and the gauge cluster looks a little outdated. The other thing I don't like is the price. The price is really expensive for what you're getting, at least here in the US.
Mat, instead of reviewing upgraded models, why not review basic ones and give an opinion. You can then advise as to whether or not someone wants to have this or that as extras.
Hi, can someone help me with this? I just saw a car from a dealer, and the steering wheel feels stiff. The dealer mentioned that this model comes with a stiff steering wheel, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

It'll be that colour that's put you off, (dull and boring) mines electric blue and I love it! How can you dislike a car that's so full of space and practical, it drives like a dream and is still like shit off a shovel as was my 2.0 ltr sport!
No spare wheel & jack. Bye bye, i'll shop else were. Our friends bought one of these shitboxes, caught a flat tyre & new nothing until the tyre & wheel were knackered. An expensive day out that ended up a long weekend away in a hotel until it could be fixed...Ouch !

Thanks for review... looks like build quality is not that good. Holding strap in the boot came lose during the review... hmm not sure it was meant to do this or is Mat getting too strong? LOL
It was designed that way, so instead of ripping the whole boot off if you for some reason decide to pull it hard, it just comes off. You can put it back, it's no big deal.

Surely the Name has be Hijacked from the Original ? The Originals name was shortened from the word Miniature and started from 6.5.k in todays money .This car in not Miniature and certainly not cheap.

I think it's a bit mean when spemding 22-32k for a car to have to spend £150.00 on an extra, why not just include it in the price? Extras should be substantial like suspension, wheels, navigation, upholstery, not features which should be standard. This is where Japanese/Korean cars destroy their German competitors, so much more comes as standard. I say that as a VW owner who used to own a Honda.
+Carwow Hey, Mat, Having followed you from the previous channel to here and had watched virtually all the vids, there is something I find quite annoying. Ever since you introduced the "Verdict" part of the show, I don't think you have ever deliver a "Avoid" verdict on any cars !! I know it is hard to balance in giving an impartial review on any car and not to upset the manufacturers to ban you from reviewing their vehicles in the future. So it is a bit poitless putting it there if you will never use it. Why not delete it from now on and just have 3 options instead.
I don't get it why the S version is still equiped with steel wheels and wheel caps? Such a rubbish for a car that special. Even here in Indonesia the cheapest MINI Cooper 1,5 L has got alloys in it
