the way you start the project with a row of sc into the chain then a second row of sc in the back loop makes starting the thermal stitch MUCH easier than when I've watched others do it and ended up doing it too. I'm going to immediately start doing it your way. Thank you

I didn't do mine with chunky yarn so I added an extra 10 stitches for the white part of the bag and it came out nice

@@larasheldon8616 I did 37 rows for the panels but you can alter it to your liking, I also added an extra 10 stiches to the strap, in hindsight I should have done more stitches for the strap to get it to the length of the bag in the video

I'm Currently done sewing the two parts and the strap tomorrow i will do the rest i just wanted to say that i made it bigger than the video and it worked will Idi 41 at the 1st stitch and I did 32 rows and with the strap i did 211 stitches at the 1st stitch it was so tall but i did it in a 6 hours or less i did it with the same width can't wait to end it amd having so much fun🥺💓💓💓

Thanks for the tutorial! Also my panel ended up being 12 cm In height and 18 cm in width, I feel like this is pretty small comparing to your bag. I would really appreciate you telling us all the measurements since I haven’t got a lot to go off of at the moment!

@@pbjay-zl1nqwhen i did mine it wasn’t as wide as I wanted it, so ig if you want it more of a rectangular, do more chains. (Which means you might have to start over, unless you have a better way to make it longer😭) But if you want a bigger square do more rows

Another thing that I think made mine seem smaller is was strap, I swear, I did the same thing she did ig but, I messed up some were?😭 I suggest to do a strap, that is a little longer then what she did

Is this pattern pretty forgiving if the ends of the bag don’t exactly line up since there will be ruffles around the edges? I’ve been working on mine and it seems like my edges are a little uneven but it’s still making a rectangle shape

My ends for the sides were actually pretty wonky too, but I finished my bag last night and it turned out great! The ruffles hide all the unevenness :)

Hi there! May I ask why do we need to size up the hook at the beginning to make the foundation chain? When I make the ruffles on the foundation chain part, I can see the chain is very loose and there are lots of big gaps. So I don’t think sizing up 1mm for the hook is necessary? Or I missed something?

I know I’m late to the party, but if you ever have trouble with that, I like looking at the transcription on the RU-vid video and it usually says like the exact amount and it’s kind of like a written pattern so it helps me a lot
