Be careful what you teach your dogs! We wrapped a bone in wrapping paper for our mini-dachshund one holiday. From that point on, she unwrapped any present that she could get her little paws and teeth into! My brother and I rather enjoyed this, so much so that we would often just ball up wrapping paper and toss it to her. She gave the meanest side-eye whenever she realized that there wasn't something in the wrapping paper that she had just decimated! 🤣 I'm over 50yo and she's been gone for more than half my life, yet the memories of those side-eye glares still bring me joy.

Mac trying to sniff the behind of the Pinata was perfect dog etiquette for an introduction. He has been raised in love, so his aversion to striking is right and understandable. I think that he may have been a bit distressed when it looks like you tore open the Pinata to get the treats, but he loves and trusts you, so it was OK.

Yes understandably Mac didn't like the hitting will never have seen his Mum and Dad hitting anyone so it confused him Once the treats fell out he was happy Hugs to you dear Mac

Yup all doxie starts with a small snout nudge and G help if whatever swings even slightly back at a doxie it goes from 0 to 60 in about 30 seconds. Love thier attitudes.
