Right!? Given the short time span, we were trying to dial back the density a bit, knowing that we'd never fill the table if we built in our normal compact style. But the final result is surprisingly still pretty compact! Take a look at the little blue spoon ball lift at 0:29, check out how skinny the counterweight is, simply because it has to fit in such a tight space. Talk about compactness!
Of course you upload this the day my vacation starts and I don’t have WiFi. This is a pretty nice machine though. The lifting ball track at the end was my favorite.
Very aesthetically pleasing and the one track ball was a great premise, but the practice green felt is what put it over the top for me. Great mini-machine my dudes 👍
Very nice!!! This machine looks really good, cutting up the roll of fake grass was a great idea! I really liked the trick with the pool ball being shot in the basketball hoop as well as the gears at the end.
This is incredible, every thing from the aesthetic of the machine to the pacing was spot on. My favorite moments were probably the sliding and flipping mechanism at 0:47 and the double rotating platforms at the end. Glad this video came out and should be just enough motivation to get a new video out soon. Also hope to see more machines in this style from you Lyle as I'm honestly coming to liking these types a bit more than your typical compact style.
This was a really awesome, unexpected project! Really glad that you two met up to put this together. There were a lot of interesting ideas, like the sominod, the rotating gears, the lifting track, the launch through the PVC curve and a bunch of other stuff. This project gets me really hyped up for Machinathon; see you guys there!
I think it's because when you glue the dive to a surface, face 2 has a bigger space between the dots than any side of the dice so it could glue and glue out more easily.
This is literally exactly the reason, very impressive that you were able to guess that intuitively! To be fair though, usually I glue on the side with the 1 on it, leaving the 6 exposed on top.
Outside world was one the tracks I was considering for my latest screenlink (that one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KBcEVPxVrZ0.html). But it didn't fit the mood and was too short. On your video it fits perfectly. Cool concept, execution and editing. Very smooth
