My Story:
I grew up in a small village outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. Once I finished high school, I went straight into working full time within the Hospitality and Events industry.
My husband and I, boyfriend at the time, met in 2008. After being together for a few years we decided to relocate and move to Canada in 2013 on a working holiday visa. We had the best year of our lives out there before deciding to move back to the UK and move to London. We stayed in London for about 2 years, where we became engaged and I fell pregnant with our baby girl.
Our daughter, Aria was born in January 2016. We married in April 2017 and moved to the town we still stay today. Our son Colt was born January 2019.
I am currently a #stayathomemum for now. I love to clean, bake, shop, spend time with my family and friends and generally just being a mum.

I'm so glad things are OK, thank you for sharing your story. I'm currently waiting for a diagnosis for horrific hip pain that's been going on for most of this year, but I was in pain with sciatica before it went into hip pain. I finally plucked up the courage to try to make a GP appointment, the receptionist said it had to be physio...had a phone physio appointment and eventually my husband kicked off and got me a GP appointment. I've had xrays and blood tests for pretty much everything and I've got an appointment tomorrow. I'm scared about what might come back from the blood tests 😩 I don't even know if the results will be back yet by tomorrow or not, I had the xray last Saturday and the blood tests on Tuesday. Xx

Awww Katherine, the scariest part can sometimes be this waiting in limbo period. I hope your appointment today went well🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’m glad your husband pushed for an appointment. I am very lucky with my GPs but I know a lot of people are struggling to get in and make appointments in the first place. I have everything crossed for you❤️❤️

@@stacyrebecca thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me. Turns out it's just as well my husband did push for an appointment- I have been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis and my left hip is already at the stage of needing to be replaced 😩 The GP I finally got to see was absolutely fantastic, but up until I saw him, literally all I was told was get physio, no consultant will even see you until you've tried 2-3 months of physio first! I'm relieved to know what's going on, but absolutely terrified about surgery- and I'm only 45 which seems so young for a hip replacement. The GP said it's very young but not unheard of. Aaargh.

Aww Katherine. First, I’m so glad you managed to get in for an appointment and see a doctor. I know they have been under unreal pressure since Covid but I feel I’m hearing more and more of issues people are having getting appointments and just being seen. I’ve luckily never had that issue, my doctors have been fab but I know my mum has had major issues trying to just speak to someone. I know the thought of surgery is scary but you will feel great after it’s done. Think of no pain and being able to walk again comfortably ☺️ Praying for you to feel better soon ❤️ xx

@@stacyrebecca thank you so much, you're so lovely. I'm beginning to get my head around it now but it was a lot to take in at first. I'm now reaching the point where I'm thinking how good it'll be to be rid of the pain and able to just walk about normally, not struggle with day to day tasks like housework and hanging the washing out etc! I need to just be brave! The whole thought of being in hospital and having surgery scares me, and what the recovery will be like, but 6 weeks passes quickly enough the rest of the time so hopefully the recovery won't seem too long! I hope everything is OK with you and your lovely family. Thanks again for taking the time to reply to me, I really appreciate it xx

Glad your ok Stacey 😊so what was making you feel so unwell if they are just diagnosing a cyst? Anxiety? Sorry not being rude I just don’t understand if it’s been dormant since 2019 🤷‍♀️

No problem at all. Happy to share ☺️. So basically I suffered with horrible back ache for about a year with tingling in my legs. That’s why they sent me for the initial MRI by my GP. It was during that MRI that they saw what looked like fluid in my spine and it was a suspected lower thoracic cord plaque, which in turn means they suspected it could be MS. That’s why I was sent for further MRI of my brain and spine. When those results came in, they said I was clear of MS but there was this little fluid patch in my brain, which is most likely a cyst. He seems to think that maybe they didn’t notice it back in 2019 because an MRI is more detailed than a CT scan but when he’s looked back specifically , they have noticed it. My anxiety through all this was made so bad with the long waiting between and the question marks 😫 Hope this all makes sense 😊 xx
